Today I've had a bit of session, Anzac biscuits, Orange Marmalade cake and Peanut butter cupcakes. It is so dark and miserable outside, needed to make some treats to cheer everyone up!

My daughter is getting married in October with a medieval theme.
Apparently ginger biscuits are an old tradition so Ive been having a trial run at making some heart shaped and star shaped ginger biscuits to put in little gold boxes as favours for her wedding.
They turned out lovely and snappy, I used the gingerbread man recipe from the Bero book.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

I don't normally post on the baking board as I bake pretty often and it tends to be the same things however this evening I've had a bit of a "bake-in".

Tray of millionaire's shortbread (condensed milk is 50p a tin at Mr T)
    batch of Twinks Hobnobs
    26 empire biscuits
    Raspberry and sour cream loaf
    Apple streusel cake

my parent's are farmers and we expect to be bringing in silage tomorrow so it's all hands on deck and there will be lots of bodies around so the baking haul will be gone by tomorrow night.

Just before lunchtime tomorrow I will make a batch of Delia's buttermilk scones and some good old fashioned tea loaf so it's fresh.

I promised the people at work some empire biscuits too so I'll have to make another batch on Sunday night - I've never known anything which disappears as fast as they do. Always a good sign:)

I've only made 4 loaves of bread. I'm going to make 4 loaves a day for the next week (maybe longer) - with all the gannets at home we go through at least one a day, so I need to stock up!

We are just about to make a strawberry cheese cake.

It will be lovely after a nice hot day in the garden. :)

A batch of choc chip fairy cakes, flapjacks, and 54 scotch pancakes - some with blueberries in. I think I'll be baking tomorrow again as I need to make sure I've got 'grab and eat' stuff in.
