The banana bread is lovely and not too sweet.
The almond bread could have done with 5 minutes less. They're a bit overdone but I followed the recipe instructions.Maybe they're supposed to be VERY crisp?!Oh well...:o
PS I'll try your apple cake recipe soon.Sounds really nice.Thanks.
Hi-my fault. i should have said the times depended on your oven. Sorry++ Do try again and then remove when lightly brown! * runs off and hides in shame*0 -

Made a Honey seeded loaf and supervised by gran-niece - not quite five - make an apple tart. She did most of the tart herself, I'm thinking not bad for a five-year-old0

Please don't!
I'll give it another go in a wee while then. What worried me was not having an electric knife to cut it with, but my bread knife was fine. They are edible of course, but a bit on the brown side and very crisp,so I won't offer them to guests.I am intruiged to 'get it right' as you said they were so good!0 -
Banana flapjacks and tropical flapjacks. Except the tropical flapjacks were way too dry and are now just oaty clusters with chunks of pineapple and papaya in it so we'll have it as some weird sort of pudding with yogurt/milk.
Does anyone have any recipes that use tinned fruit/pineapple?Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
