    Of course ...
OH actually sprinkled some sugar over his, as he thought it wasn't sweet enough, maybe as I didnt use mixed peel, just mixed fruit.
I guess not the same texture of a steamed pudding, but so quick and easy, especially with my 6p instant tesco value custard, but a nice stodgy pudding for a winters night.
Wonder if I could find one for a jam roly poly :D

Today I have baked two large banana loaves, to cut up and freeze. I am very disappointed though, as I decided to abandon my usual, delicious, tried and tested recipe in favour of trying the one in my new Hummingbird Bakery book I got for Christmas. Everything else I have made from their books has been, without exception, fantastic. But the banana loaf is dry and too hard on the outside and just generally not very good... :( I am gutted as I wasted a huge bag of ripe bananas to make very mediocre cake, when I know my usual recipe is fantastic :( It will still get eaten and everything, but still.. BOOOO.

I've baked some Ginger and Chocolate Chip cookies and some Toffee Apple Muffins. Think the muffins are slightly underbaked but pretty good for a first attempt. Cookies are scrummy! :-)

They sound very interesting. Ginger and choc chip I could manage I'm sure, but how do you do toffee apple muffins?

:D everyones baking sounds yum. I'm supposed to be cutting down and losing weight, but the kids wanted to bake today so we made chocolate and marshmallow cookies and pear gingerbread. really shouldn't have had that second slice of gingerbread...or the third:o.

I really, really should unsubscribe from this thread. I'm going to put weight on just reading it :rotfl:. I love gingerbread, and pear gingerbread sounds delicious! Do you just add pears to a normal gingerbread? Is it dark sticky gingerbread or a light one?

    1 egg
    mix all above together
then add 2 pears, peeled and chopped and i also put 3 balls of chopped stem ginger in.

    Hi

Brown baguettes. Really pleased as it's my first attempt. Next time will add more salt.
