Chocolate & ginger brownies from Martha Stewart Cookies book. Unfortunately DH doesn't like them, so I will have to take them to work for my workmates to help me eat, otherwise I'll only scoff the lot myself.

  • Some cheese scones for my lunchbox next week, and a batch of double choc muffins for DD's lunchboxes.

Made some savoury pancakes for tea yesterday with buckwheat flour and tried a spoonful of soy flour with a couple of spoons of water instead of an egg to see how it would work out, (as per the Tightwad gazette) No one appeared to notice any difference, so will be useful if I'm low/run out of eggs in the future. Also the bag of soy flour was £1.29 and contains the equivalent of approx 50 eggs, also longer shelf life, bravo Amy Daczyn I say :T

Hot cross bun loaf yesterday, very nice too.

Today Rhubarb crumble cake is on my plan.

I've started bluetacking the recipe I cut from magazines etc on the kitchen wall as it prompts me to try them. If they are to be repeated they go in the recipe folder and if not they yet recycled. I'm finding it much more inspirational.
