For VJsmum, I am quite sure I got the recipe of here though for the life of me I cant find it now to link. So thank you to the person who did contribute this recipe. I have tweaked the recipe as it was too wet and sweet for me.
Flapjacks
500g porridge oats
300g butter(I used 250g)
4 Tbsp Golden Syrup
Condensed Milk 1/2 tin(the secret ingredient:D)
340g Demerera sugar( I used 240g)
1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees celsius
2. Line baking tray with baking parchment,my tin was 13x9x2
3.Melt butter and sugar on the hob,add syrup then the condensed
milk.Keep heating and stirring until all is mixed and melted.
4. Add oats (gradually).
5. Fill in tin,try not to squash in.Just spread evenly
6. Bake for 15minutes.When just starting to go brown around the
edges. They will set more as they cool.
I found this was a bit undercooked,so covered in foil for
10minutes then uncovered for 15minutes. You may fine it cooks
differently in your oven as mine is rubbish(heating element at the
top that browns everything too quick:()
