with all the talk of millionaire's shortbread I felt I had to post the link to this recipe:

I'm making it for pud tomorrow night as part of our belated valentine's meal!

Thanks. That looks very easy to do.

I seem to have managed to mess up most of my baking today, made one big quiche, overcooked the blind baking a bit, 12 mini quiches came out soggy, 12 jam tarts overcooked and I overcooked the flapjacks! Oh well, best to mess up all in one go!

    Can I freeze buttercream?

Yes you can :) and I have even had success freezing it when it is attached to cakes. I once baked and 'frosted' a batch of cupcakes and froze them in completed form and they were lovely when defrosted :) not quite as good as fresh but not half bad at all.

    That bread looks yummy :)
  • My bread turned out nice. I couldn't resist tasting while I was slicing it. I am going to make an apple cake after dinner for tomorrow night's dessert. I am working late and won't have time tomorrow.
