Hi
Margarita pizza. I'm never gonna buy a shop/takeaway one again. Used Asda 25p Smart Price pasatta to make the sauce and it was lovely.:)Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -
Today I've been a celeb chef groupie:o
I've made:
Lorraine's fougasse - brilliant!
Jamie's tortilla - just as it should be (that's not baking though)
Hugh's choc chip cookies - so yummy. And so funny, have made them before, and carefully made note - use 3 baking sheets, not 2, they spread a LOT. But I didn't pay attention to my note. They looked fine on 2 sheets...OH and I had big fits of giggles watching them through the oven door as they spread and spread, joining into one another. Just how many times do you need to make that note he asked:p
Plus a carrot (or is it passion?) cake, no idea whose recipe that one was, but it's got pineapple in as well as carrot. Oh, and discovered that the cream cheese frosting I'd shoved in the freezer does indeed freeze just fine:T
Bit knackered now;)0 -
I`ve baked the spiced marmalade cake from the GC index, made a dozen crusty breadcakes, an enormous pan of soup, cooked lots of sausages to slice and freeze and amongst other things i`ve made this
http://www.them-apples.co.uk/2009/06/how-to-make-pork-pie/ *drools* i used cooking bacon, a piece of pork shoulder that was on offer this week and topped it off with a layer of sage and onion stuffing before popping the lid on. Its taking ages to cool and i`m absolutely bursting to taste it

Well, I found an almost out of date bread mix lurking at the back of the cupboard so I thought I'd make a loaf to go with our hm soup. Didn't turn out so good though, less like a loaf of bread and more like a giant crumpet :rotfl: Ah well, we still ate it - determined as I am not to waste any food.
I should add - if anyone has any idea where I went wrong, all advice gratefully received. Until then I blame the mix :cool:GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100 -

Problems with my cookie dough.
The other day I made choc chip, today i've made plain, chocolate and oats and raisin and all but the oats and raisin have come out very gloopey like a cake batter.
I dont know what I am doing wrong as I am using a copied recipe to the t and their dough comes out good enough to roll into a sausage shape.0 -
