Hi, I have just made lemon cupcakes for the first time! Have no idea how to decorate them though, any suggestions would be very welcome. I could scoff them as they are as they look & smell rather good.0

Well, after about 18 months of just reading through all the fab. recipes collected from this site, I had an irresistable urge to have a go at something today. Think it must have something to do with the kids being off school, me feeling marooned at home and it being a tad wintry outside!! :rotfl:So.....(big drum roll.....)here's to my first-ever batch of the famous Twinks Hobnobs!! Went down a treat, not many left...guess what the kids have asked me to make again? I managed to grab a couple for myself, just in time. Great -- will definitely be making them again!:j
Hi
Well done-my first bakes were twinks and I love them. Now I'm baking bread and cakes. I really enjoy baking and it's true there's something about this weather that makes me want to cook/bake.:j:) So, I made a sourdough loaf and a red pepper, polenta and onion bread.:)Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -

Yesterday OH made some lovely cupcakes with the added custard powder again....they worked to about 65p using FR eggs for 12 HUGE ones. He also made a minced lamb curry as we fancied something spicy and was thinking that this with added chopped potato, onions and peas would make a great samosa filling....is it filo pastry for them?

Today I have made a boiled fruit cake and an American apple cake. Both recipes from the Hamlyn all colour Tea time favourites. I've had a bit of time to browse through my cookbooks this week, which is great. Not so great for the waistline though!A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
