  • Hi all,

Another busy baking day for me today, I don't know what's up with me :o. I've made:

    Apple vanilla sponge
Apple and blackberry pies x 2 (homemade sweet shortcrust too - normally can't be bothered!)
    Applesauce muffins
Nigella's clementine cake with some old not wanted clementines
    2 x loaves of bread
Venison stew for dinner, if the OH ever contacts me to say he's coming home.....

I was going to make some mince pies, but there's no room in the freezer :rotfl:

you all mind if I report back?
I took the tray of honey fudge and the choc peppermint creams up mums this afternoon for the family gathering.............mum, me, sis and her twins, my daughter her partner and two kids, my son and his son, and my three granddaughters and they munched their way through my sweets, with very flattering comments and the couple of pieces which were left the granddaughters took home for their mum! my daughter took one look and said 'if youre in sweets mode mum then when are you making your Turkish Delight?'
Its so NICE to have your efforts complimented!
Turkish Delight next week then! and theres a recipe in the little book for humbugs which I know my mum will love (if they turn out right that is).

Sultana scones and a Panny loaf which dissappeared five minutes after it had cooled down enough to slice!

I think I want to come and live with you and raid your freezer :rotfl:

While I was cooking dinner I thought I might as well start off some brioche, so I've made a dough and stuck it in the fridge to rise overnight, I'll finish it off tomorrow.
