  • I have a chocolate hazelnut merangue gateaux in the oven, and yummy chocolate gluten-free brownies cooling on the rack. There's nothing like a bake-a-thon to beat the rainy blues!
  • i have made a wonderful light sponge cake for the first time, its been ages since i made something new usually stick to the favourites but it was so easy to make and a fine autumn flavour with the stem ginger and mixed spice it

    Yes please!

Yesterday we made some macaroons, which unfortuanately are a bit crisp-we think our mistake was to use large and not medium eggs. Also a plain Victoria sponge in my new sponge tins-a Mary Berry recipe. It's very good and my first attempt.

Today we've tried a coffee Victoria sponge, which is wickedly delicious!Another Mary Berry recipe.I feel like a proper baker now!
