  • Last night I made a load of hobnobs & this morning I've made some almond surprise buns for school's Macmillan coffee morning. May have to 'taste test' the buns as the smell is fab! :)

  • Oooh homebaked hobnobs- do you have a recipe?

Just discovered this thread and I'm pretty sure I will become hooked. The last thing I baked was a birthday cake for OH's mum's birthday last week, and will make another for my brother's birthday next weekend. Also loving cupcakes at the mo and am experimenting with pretty icing- faves are lemon or coffee, but I am itching to try choc orange. If anyone has any good cupcake recipes/ideas I'd love them.

Do you have the recipe for the flapjack please? I still have a few bananas to use and this sounds yummy.

  • Just made some 'Shetland bannocks' this morning- recipe from a friend- they taste lovely, kinda like Orkney bannocks/Soda bread-ish!
    Scrummy!
Made a choccie cherry cake a few days ago and that went down well!
Might make dumpling later as could not find any in shop yesterday!

Bread roll with olives was delicious, bit doughy, more like a giant dough ball than a bread roll but was delicious with some quick HM minestrone soup.
