I've just baked Rachel Allens apricot bars and waiting for them to cool before I try, I also made 2 trifles earlier, but not because I'm greedy (although my two boys would demolish them easlily!) but I had some chocolate muffins (which a friend gave me) to use up, and 6 pints of whoopsie milk (39p) ...will give one away to one of my lovely friends
  • Had to use some a mixture of cooking and eating apples today. I made an apple cake using plain old sponge mixture and layering with the apples. Came out really nice.

I've put some slices in the freezer which I've never done before, so we'll see how it fares.

Coffee cake, chocolate brownies an apple pie and an apple turnover.

Then I cooked fried fish, new potatoes, carrots, peas and parsley (out of the garden) sauce. Now I'm pooped.

    Bella.
