Not today but last night I made my first ever batch of Twink's Hobnobs and they are REALLY delicious!!!

I got 50 little balls from the batch, baked 18 and froze the rest as flattened balls... Anyone know if I can cook these from frozen?

    Coconut jam biscuits.

Favourite easy recipe (after Twink's Hob Nobs of course), make them quite often but have to take lots in to work or else we'd all just keep eating until they're gone :rotfl:

Might start using Nutella instead of jam, possible substitute for Bountys......:j

    Hi lindab15:)
would you be able to post the recipe for the coconut jam biscuits of you have time please,?? They sound lovely and I have some coconut to use up. I am making twinks hobnobs, fairy cakes and nigellas choc loaf cake everyweek for us all to eat instead of buying cakes and biccys,,looking for another nice biccy recipe, using nutella sounds lovely!!!
    cheers

I made my second batch of Twinks hobnobs, but must have done something wrong. They were stickier and spread out far too much. Even when cooked they were a bit soft in the middle. My first batch were scrummy, but I used butter for those and this time I used marg...could that make a difference?

Hi Ginger snap, I have the opposite from you!!
I used marg the first few times i made them and they were lovely, used unsalted butter the last time and kids and hubby all agreed they were not as nice, personal taste maybe,,i will do them again with marg as my lot prefer them. Eitherway they are very morish arent they!!!

Kirsty, Thanks for the input. I've just remembered something else that was different between my two batches. The first time I didn't have self raising flour so used plain plus a bit of baking powder. Also I used up some demerara sugar the first time, the second time used caster sugar....
    Too many variables! Help.

Been a busy day for me and a friend here...we've made: A chocolate loaf cake (2), caraway seed loaf cake, carrot loaf cake, carrot muffins (4batches), chocolate muffins (2batches), lemon muffins (4 batches) and a large carrot cake! not sure where we found the time as we have also deep cleaned my student house and were out fundraising this morning for a charity I do some work for!
