I made these pecan & chocolate blondie things this morning. The recipe calls them flapjacks, but there's nothing flapjack about them
They're lovely and very quick and easy to throw together.

Yesterday I made yogurt cake with blueberries as a half batch of the recipe fits my new mini bundt tin perfectly. Came down this morning and found that OH had devoured half of it after getting the midnight munchies, but had left an apologetic note to say that he hadn't meant to, but it was too tasty!2015 comp wins - £370.25

Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j0 -
I have just made my first ever batch of Twink's Hobnobs.. OMG they are absolutely delicious! Several didn't even make it to the cooling rack and the kids would have polished off the lot if I had let them. I was pleasantly surprised that the mixture made about 40 biscuits so I have some to put away for treats later in the week. Thanks, Twinks!0

I've made some chocolate fairy cakes, custard creams (recipe from this site sorry can't remember the poster) and chicken & veg pies using the leftovers from yesterdays lunch.
We've had the pies for dinner tonight with homemade chips.Dum Spiro Spero0 -

Thanks for that link. I've just made a modified version using spelt, molasses, ghee, pecans and oats and it was delicious:TThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Had a bit of a disaster - you know they say you can use the inners from cereal packets as baking paper - You can't  it melts. So I wasted 12 twinks hobknobs, though the chickens did eat them after I peeled off the plastic.
Made more hobknobs, banana blackcurrant muffins, weetabix cake and jam tarts. Am going to sneak some in the freezer before the family gets home or they will all be gone during Dgs's night feeds:)Clearing the junk to travel light

Hi,
Any chance of the custard creams recipe please? I have searched but cannot find it. ThanksSometimes not moving backwards is as much an achievement as moving forwards is on other times. (originally posted by kidcat)
It's only a bargain if you were going to buy it anyway!0
