At the AA meeting on Saturday, I just found myself feeling, as you say, 'resentful' of them.

It also annoys me, how some of them seem to just recount AA'ism's parrot fashion!

Today, I just feel so overwhelmed, and can't focus on f*ck all.

That's usual. In the early stages it sounds like a different language. However, I am sure they there are many similarities between you and the other members of AA. Listen to identify, not to differentiate.
If they need to recount these things parrot fashion, then leave them be. They are managing to stay sober, so they must be doing something right.

I think of alcoholism as a forgetting disease. How many times did I say to myself :
    • I am never drinking again
    • I am never drinking spirits again
    • I am not going to get drunk, just a few for me
    • I am going to leave the pub at 7pm

and then a few days later 'forget' I had said those things and drink?

I forgot how bad I felt after drinking. If I remembered, I am sure I wouldn't have drunk again. There are many on this thread who feel the same.
The people at AA probably need to hear the same things time and time again otherwise the alcoholism will help them forget how bad it was

I was recommended that I go to 90 meetings in 90 days when I first came in. That was an excellent suggestion. Putting the drink down was the priority. I couldn't sort out the rest of my messy life if I was still drinking. My sobriety comes first, always.
Whatever I put before my sobriety I will eventually lose

Back from forest and farm, met a old workmate and her DS who is the same age as my DS and they hit it right off! They had a great time playing footie, frisbee my mate had brought a kite with her, it was perfect kite-flying weather today! We had a nice lunch in the cafe and now I'm home and exhausted and full up. This it the only thing I've done on my list so far but I did leave at 10.30am and only just got back.

    I know I did mention hoovering.......but, I am tired winking-smiley-41.gif

Off to kitchen now to do a food inventory and do a shopping list grocery-grocery-food-milk-smiley-emoticon-000681-large.gif

Though to be honest I could just sit here in the chair for half hour ;)

I have, and indeed I did take advantage of said service, but was still panicking that I would oversleep and wake up at 18:05 and the shop would have been closed. Ever the optimist smiley-rolleyes008.gif
