    Hi,

Only thing I am regretting today is that I didn't buy anything yummy to eat later. But I have lost 2 pounds and really want to keep it off. Almost bought some AF drink but then decided to stick with water and decaf tea. I might have enough stuff to make a hot choklit later if I really struggle. Not sure about the knee - gutted if can't start running again. :( Might try some QT later except I am better at helping others than doing it to me.

It is 27 for me please Shaggy.

the voice that says you need to round this off by having a nice drink this evening starts up :(. I haven't got past the idea Friday and Saturday are drinking nights yet. My AF days have been weekend ones so I can drive if needed but I still find it hard. Felt all unsettled and grumpy and even tearful on the way home

I felt like this for ages as Fri and Sat were always my drinking nights its allowed. It was only when I realised what is special about these nights? Nothing at all. Each evening is the same as another one. It is how we view them.

The other thing that helped was making sure I was hydrated with AF stuff eg Schloer and this made a difference,Make sure I bought a nice AF drink for the weekend and poured it into a wine glass and the craving subsided. Don't have to pour it in a glass now to help.

Good luck with tonight DB :D

I'm the same :o. Just had large haddock and chips plus battered sausage
and have lots of choklit for later just in case and plenty of fizzy stuff.

I'm happy it's not just me that gets like that.:rotfl:

I've just made some curry pasties and some cakes! I think I will try and feed most of it to DH.

  • Thanks Sparkles :) Its that change of attitude that I hope will eventually come. Maybe it will be a bit better when the lighter evenings come.

I've had a lovely day today but mid way through the afternoon the voice

    on your 5 months. That's brilliant :j
Just got to grit my teeth and get on with it this evening and look forward
to feeling good in the morning. I know where I want to be and that is
to be someone who doesn't want to drink. Not someone who wants to drink but doesn't. It's been said before that that is a carp place to be.

Just needed to say that as I'm finding it hard tonight.

This did make me smirk-sorry. I feel grumpy, tearful and unsettled too tonight. So so not past it! It's not lack of booze orientated, just 'one of those days' What I do know though is that downing a bottle of two of wine won't make it any better. I suppose that's the change in me....

and for the record I am on my second bowl of turkey pasta and earlier sent DS to corner shop for butter and eggs and can see a twilight baking session coming on!

  • Aw - Sparkles. Hugs. Life still gets you from time to time whether AF or not.

And Hugs to all the MAD ones (grumpy or not) who are munching and
baking their way through the evening. :D

I'm a tad less grumpy and yuk now!

DD finally in bed - she has driven me up the walls today but now I don't know what to do with myself...somehow I don't fancy going to sort out my washing...

    I sympathise.

Sometimes it just hits you as being, well, odd!

I think of the people I'm out of touch with now and know it was an empty, meaningless existance that I couldn't leave until I has something better to do.

Getting out of the Friday feeling is hard and I still have the odd ache that is really simply my heas trying to get me to relax. Naturally. I'm working on that but I'm pretty sure that having one drink would never be a solution.

    HALT indeed.

And breathe....and think with your inner strength. About what you REALLY want to be doing.

enough from me...time for a cup of tea.

    take care
