Hi all
Brilliant to see so many of you doing so well- I've got so much catching up to do, you're such a chatty lot.
Don't envy you Miss P- I suppose the best thing a lot of us can hope for these days is that our children are safe and well protected from unwanted pregnancies and STD's. I had 'the chat' with my 15 yr lad last year, and gave up after about 5 minutes- he knew far more about sex than I do now, let alone at his age, and he seemed quite sensible about it. I know if you make a big deal out of these things it often has the opposite effect you hope for eg. they think its something rebelious. Good luck with your dilemma, tricky one.
Catch you all later.0 -

Hi All ,
Just popping on for a quick visit from work as swapped to O2 broadband

on the phone last night trying to sort it out. To try again tonight.
They did not call back as they promised they would
Lots to read over the last few days. Loving the really positive posts
from the giver uppers who are feeling so good these days.

Hi All
Miss P. I'm not a parent of a teen but work at a secondary school and I wish that more girls showed your step daughters sense. Believe it or not 15 is actually quite old nowadays to be becoming sexually active. She will have sex whatever you say. She is sensible enough to be asking for contraception. I've seen too many pregnant teens. It might be horrifying to you guys as parents...I'm sure I won't like it when my son becomes sexually active BUT I hope he has the sense to use contraception. Our secondary is actually in the process of setting up a 'well being clinic' on the school site. 'Well being' a polictically correct term for free contraception. This is to help reduce the huge rate of under age preganancies that happen every year.
I know it doesn't help you or hubby with the emotions of it all or make it right but it's a sign of the times.
If her boyfriend is of a similar age, I think you might have to accept that in this day and age girls are becoming sexually active earlier and earlier. If he is significantly older then alarms bells would ring.LBM 10/08 £12510.74/0 -

All well here and 25 mins stepper torture completed. Was much harder tonight after aching a bit from yesterdays yoga3 days of light exercise and I felt tempted not to do it today. Anyway completed now and in need of a bath I think to recover. I agree with you HB - it felt like torture tonight on the stepper!
AF no problems making it a MAD 22 for me tonight.
