    Hi everyone.

Well, had a bad weekend. Really annoyed as I avoided the free booze at the lounge and on the flight, got home to a nice decaf coffee (Lavazza) and woke up all virtuous on Friday. Wife took ED to gymnastics and come back with 6 beers and a couple of bottles of wine saying she'd been good all week and, basically, talked me into having a drink with her. Fast forward to me drunk on the couch 4 hours later havign run out of booze, I opened a bottle of 60 year old port I'd been saving and drunk it. Woke up in bed feeling utterly dreadful and miserable with ED there. Felt really ashamed of myself all day Saturday, but was really healthy and had a good day witht he kids. Sunday, my very best friend on earth rocked up and invited us all over for dinner. It's funny how you associate people with actions or behaviour and with him, we always drink, always have done. So, cue 6 hours later I am asleep at 8pm rolling drunk.

I have had trouble coming on here to own up to be frank; I feel terrible for myself more than anything else. I have been feeling so postive. I asked not to be upgraded this week, that any extras they can send to my room, bit no booze; I feel this week could be a struggle for me.

    Hi MoD

Remember "Change is a Process not an Event". Keep posting :)

    Morning all!

    How are we all today?

    Loving the positive posts Sparkles!:j

115k - good news about the test results!:T

Bit knackered here today. OH was still poorly last night with sore ear and at 2.30am he finally decided to take my advice and go to the walk-in centre. He has an ear infection so now has anti-biotics. So we were awake till nearly 4.30 (I couldn't sleep either). Thankfully my dodgy head seems to have gone.

Soooooo looking forward to going away the end of the week......

    Morning all

    Hope everyone is well.

115K - great news about your blood tests.

GC - I, too, really find your posts helpful.

Shaggy - I have only just realised that you have put me on the MAD update list. Thank you! As I only stopped drinking on 15th my target is 17 days - yesterday was 9.

This is the longest I have gone for years. I had a declining dose of tablets for the first 5 days so probably can't take too much credit for last week but I am so pleased that, since Friday, although I have thought about drinking a lot, out of habit, I suppose, I haven't had any strong cravings.

    Have a good day, everyone.

    HELP!!!

OH has just told me he's had his daughters Mum on the phone. HIs daughter is badgering her Mum to let her go on the pill!!! She's only 15!! She's been seeing a boy since the New Year and "thinks" she's in love. What the HELL do you do in a situation like this!? She's threatened her Mum by saying if she doesn't let her go on the pill she'll go and do it anyway without telling her.

ANy advice from parents of teenagers would be MOST welcome!

This week is getting worse (and to top it all off, the microwave has died!!:rotfl::rotfl:)

(EDIT - she's a very naive girl, quite immature for her age and this is her first real boyfriend...and she's got exams coming up....GAH!!!!)

  • Been good this week thus far, so 2AF for me. Been to the gym 3 times, twice pushing myself (should that be punishing myself) and this morning felt really sickly, so stopped after 30 mins and tyhink I need to ramp it down. I have been sweating ridiculously all week for soem reason, I am nto too sure I am 100%

Feel very strong that this weekend will be the weekend I get a breakthrough.

    Thanks for the support
Looking for a fresh start without credit.
