HB, I think what you are feeling is pretty common really, it's not till somebody, like you in this case, mentions it, that everyone says 'yeah I know what you mean'! I've been in a very similar frame of mind recently particularly over the NJ (new job ), I am very worried that I won't be able to do it and am totally confused over why they even asked me in for an interview let alone (laughably) gave me the job (), I have very low self esteem and confidence in my abilities (on the inside, outwardly I'm as confident as you like!) and although I know that I am actually capable of doing it, I won't let myself believe it. This is why I'm terrified

    Happy Mothers Day all.

Another rock-and-roller hits the headlines with drink problems and you wonder how much sadness has too much booze caused?

Was driving yesterday and thought I would come on here and say I've not beaten it - just getting better at living a better way.

I remember an evening meeting I was at that I had to cut short otherwise I'd have not been able to get to the off-licence in time for buying...and there was none in the house.

How would I have felt, at that time, if they'd refused to sell to me? Don't know but I'd have struggled to cope and sleep.

    Sad.

    And history.

take care all - may your lives be wonderful.

good luck Jo....you're a better person than you dare to believe sometimes!

    Jo, I feel like I've found a sister :)

You cope with so much - your finances, your family, alcohol, your job & you'e so often on here lifting other people's spirits. Like it or not, girl, you're amazing :A

Maybe I should post that Deepest Fear poem on a regular basis, just to remind us all? ;)

I get laughed at when I say I struggle with my self esteem, not in a nasty way but people refuse to believe that someone so confident seeming could have sucha problem. I project a huge amount of confidence cos I'm, proud & I refuse to let people see me in any other way. I don't think I'm worth much & I know that's a really awful thing to think. I'd never say to that a passing acquaintance, never mind a friend, so how come I can think it about myself?

I do battle those negative thoughts & currently I think I'm winning the battle

In other news, Bear Towers is under a chemical attack as I've got the Stardrops out...

Oh god HB, this is very embarrassing :o but thank you :A

You spend too much time telling everyone how valued they are and forget yourself, you are a star and don't let anyone tell you otherwise :naughty:

Really am off to Comet now

    Afternoon all!

Happy Mothers day to all you fabulous mummy's out there!

Bit of a love-fest going on here today....I like it! :D

Having a nice day here today....had some lovely gardening goodies for mothers day. Been to see Mum and gave her her mothers day and Birthday pressies. She was very happy with them. (and I'm very happy with one of Dads presents to her...he got her three tickets to Hampton Court flower show in July and I'm going with them!!:T) On the way back was listening to Steve Wrights Love Songs with everyones dedications to their mums and I felt quite emotional! :o Silly moo.

Off to Mums for tea - she's got in lots of lovely goodies so looking forward to that. Back on diet tomorrow!:(

    Miss P
