  • Hi there, it's lovely to read lots of upbeat and positive posts today :D. I am feeling pretty good myself too, I am pleased to say!

I am happy and once again, un-hungovered, hoorah! I have filled myself (and my partner too, of course) with lots of healthy yummy foods today - porridge topped with blueberries, and for lunch, home made yellow split pea soup and ham salad sarnies, heavy on the salad, then natural yoghurt with banana chopped in. YUM!

I am going for a change of image today - am going to dye my hair bright red. I'm thinking, why shouldn't I?? I've not had the nerve before, but now I feel like going for it! I've been feeling really dowdy and I want to jazz myself up a bit. If it turns out looking awful, I am a student, so I suppose I can probably get away with it anyway, ha ha!

Will update later with the flaming red result..............hope I don't stain the bathroom grouting red! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

As for food, we have the slow cooker going with veggie stew which is smelling lovely and we will be making a cottage pie, as I have some hospital late shifts to do this week as part of my placement, so I will need a healthy pack-up dinner to take with me. I am also trying to avoid eating rubbish (most of the time!).

I've got a fabulous evening ahead - we are going to see the Hairy Bikers at the theatre. I totally love them both, so I can't WAIT!

    :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j

Hiya Shoppy - nice to see you pop on and Bis too

Right stew cooking in the oven for weekday tea (shin beef - yummy!)

Curried parsnip soup was a little spicy and warming - will be nice for this week's weather forecast!

Have cleaned some of the house (bathroom and living room) so off to claim my flylady stars.

Feel a bit better now, will carry on cleaning for another hour or so.

No bells or temptation today - I used 2 small cans of stout in the stew (which is fine by me as alcohol will burn off in the cooking process and I chucked the remainder down the sink. None drunk and I don't mind alcohol in food when its been cooked. Its not a tempter for me
