Hiya everybody,a late one from me before I go and have a shower - not sure what time our overnight visitors are coming,so want to be ready.otherwise I might frighten them off.I've been clearing drawers and cupboards out ,and it shows :rotfl::rotfl:
Welcome Jaynnie,You're right,it is nice here.
Sunnyday-Thanks for asking about DH,he's been to work but is still sore,so he' s having a soak in the bath now in the hope that will ease it,as we are going out tonight.I suppose the wine will help too
PP-your words moved me a lot too.Hugs to all of you,and thinking of you.
Nic1Lou2- I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter and fiance, its 6 months since this happened to my DS1,also after 10 years together, though they hadn't arranged a wedding. You do get so fond of them, and we got on well with her family too,so Christmas was a bit different this year,I think they both felt it ,even though she was the one who called it off.We haven't seen her since,as she could'nt handle it,though we have both written. She admits she couldn't cope when DS lost his job.Its so sad.Hugs to you all.
Well I'd better go and see if they've left me any hot water.Hugs to those who want one.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Evening all
Well I have had a productive day. Kitchen/bathroom/lounge all clean and sparkling - just need to wipe hob over again after batch cooking. I've made 4 portions of HM chilli tomatoey sauce for pasta/chilli/jacket spuds etc, a big bowl of HM celery soup (4 portions) and 4 portions of HM bombay potatoes. Yummy! Just gotta decide which I want for dinner :rotfl: oh and wash up again!
My friend stayed for half hour, had a cuppa and then left, so I had been able to get on with stuff. Just need to sort out my bedroom now. And sort out car insurance and breakdown cover but that can wait a week or so.
No plans for tonight other than to chill out, may open a bottle of wine

If you mean Just Dance Play have it in stock and you can use Quidco for that
Nic1 - sorry to hear abour your DD and her fiance. My brother did exactly the same thing - my mum was gutted as she really liked her DIL-to-be. They'd been together for 10 years but he decided that he didn't love her that way anymore.
Jaynnie - Welcome to the Daily :j I too think it's the best place to be :T Hope you stick around.
NPM - that's for copying the CD's for me. You are a star:beer:
Having a takeout tonightSorry not MSE or OS at all but I just need a night off tonight. I may even have a beer to go with it
Have a good evening everyone.
PS. Those who are wondering where the rolls eyes and confused icons are they've been removed. Apparantly they felt they didn't fit in with the ethos of be nice to all moneysavers (there is a thread about it on the feedback board). Personally I think it's more the toxic carp people put in their posts that's the problem but clearly the smilies are an easier targetI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

The boxes are here, I have not loooked at them yet, no intention of doing so until Sunday.
I had to go into town this morning we had a letter in the post I had to sort out, I went into Fenwicks and bought a double boiler to make porridge in....we have used up the instant stuff, so it back to porridge oats, see how I get on with them.
OH spent most of the day shredding old stuff, we have 2 large bags to use to pack stuff in.
All my things for the workshop tomorrow including the machine are on the floor in the sitting room ready for me to pack the car tomorrow morning an hours journey down the M1 and driving back in the dark, not my favourite thing to do.
Lovely sausage and mash for supper, bread and butter pudding for dessert.

Hello all,
Hugs to everyone who needs one for whatever reason....
Cold here to-day and for whatever reason I feel as if I have been breaking stones for a week....have done very little to-day.
Dinner was some bacon misshapes from Lidl which had been in the freezer for ages, did it with turnip, lo cabbage which I heated with cheese spread and a drop of kimchee paste, OH wanted roast spuds so as oven was on I made a mince sponge as well, had some with ice-cream for pudding, should have put in some apple as well I think, it was a bit dry.
Washing done and on banisters and airers, will have to do some ironing soon I suppose....I HATE IRONING.
Welcome Jaynnie...you will like it here, there are a few loonies around, but you will figure that out for yourself, they're pretty harmless really.
Hope that all of you going to the London meet enjoy yourselves, Aussie is a lovely lady, as are any of the others I have been lucky enough to meet. I am really gutted that I couldn't make it....at least the car is now in good shape again and ready, I hope, to pass the MOT next month.
Need to go and see how the rugby game in Thomond Park is going...
Night all, sleep well
