    Good morning.

    Stef Hugs to your DD

Bitsy Give yourself time & well done for the positive attitude :T

Hester How frustrating for DH  I sympathise as my DH is jumping through hoops with the job centre at the moment.

    Essexgirl Ouch! Poor DS :(

Diva Continued thoughts to Tris and Michelle

We were up early this morning so the children & DH have had pancakes with blueberries (thanks to Aldi Super 6) I shall have some toast in a bit as I can't face pancakes this early!

Lunch will be some lentil pate & toast foloowed by a yoghurt & some fruit and tea is chicken sweet & sour with rice.

Plans for today are to deep clean the bathroom, dust & vac downstairs, clean the doors (where does it all come from?) and go dressing gown shopping with my Mum. She has got a date for her gall bladder removal of next Friday so it's all systems go. She'll be glad to get it done as the pancreatitis has kept flaring up due to the 'ineffective' gall bladder - made her feel ancient did that comment :rotfl:

Have a good day all :D

Did they not do an x-ray? Sorry after my FIL's bicycle accident end of last year after being discharged from hospital it turns out he was hobbling round with a fractured pelvis that they'd not noticed  Don't always have much faith in A&E TBH. Hope he's on the mend soon xx

 that happened to my Grandad years ago - he fell out of the loft (....don't ask...) and the hospital were sending him and his broken toe and it was only because he was really dizzy whenever he tried to get up that they did more x-rays and found he had broken his neck!!! he was on traction for weeks! I still remember staring at the bolts disappearing into his skull.....

    Anyway...Morning :D

Friday at last!! Some money I was expecting today hasn't gone in...hopefully it will be in tomorrow but I get my child benefit tomorrow so we won't starve if it doesnt :D

Need to try and talk nicely to my boss when I get in to get some time off this afternoon for an appointment I'd forgotten about so hopefully he's in a good mood...not likely tho as he's been on a diet for the last two weeks and the more days he goes without chocolate the grumpier he gets :rotfl: He starts a diet most mondays but this one seem to be lasting as he's doing it out of spite as his wife said he wouldn't stick to it...he thinks she has no faith in him....I think she just knows him well - he now thinks this diet was all his idea ....;)

Looking forward to our trip out tomorrow - providing DD isn't too grumpy we should have a good day - the North Antrim coast is spectacular (think Giants Causeway) and I think the weather's forecast dry and clear so should be good!

Early start as I have to drop DS1 at work before I go so I best get a wriggle on

    Have a good day

Morning morning :) (hey I like having the smilie smilie handy at last:):) I see the rolleyes and the confused smilies have gone).

Not much to do today so I'm planning on getting started with my next crochet project- a bag to keep my yarn in. Although by the time it's finished I won't have much yarn left.

Must bake something for the tins- muffins or scones.

Breakfast was porridge, I had toast and marmalade -well someone's got to eat the marm now OH has given it up. I've got 16 jars of the stuff (rolleyes smilie)!

    Lunch
The lunchboxes have pitta pizzas, fruit and muffins. The kids are packing their own now and it's working very well.

I shall have leftover salad and hummus. Must put yesterday's leftover beans and rice in the freezer for my lunch on Monday.

Supper will be teriyaki salmon, noodles and stir fry veg.

We're off to the theatre tomorrow afternoon to see Joseph:j:jOoh excited! despite the fact that ds2 doesn't want to go, he thinks it'll be rubbish. I don't think so. The stage is a bit small at Malvern theatre but it's the proper production. Last time I saw it was with Philip Schofield in Brum.

    Morning all

Dark, raining and cold here this morning. DS1 just left for school on his bike, he didn't want a lift wanted to bike with his friends! OH had an early job this morning so he was up and away at 4.45am, I did wake but managed to get back to sleep, have had 2 nights of much better sleep, it's amazing how much better you feel!

Had a good productive day yesterday, have a corner of my kitchen where letters, papers etc just seem to get dumped and have been trying to find a way of getting it tidied up and managed to find a couple of document holders that fit it nicely so cleared and washed the area down and have sorted all papers and now looks fantastic. Went to hairdressers, got rid of all the glass bottles and jars at bottle bank, cleaned both bathrooms, bedrooms, did lots of washing and some drying, so can now actually see the bottom of the dirty wash basket! (How long does that last? - not long!!!) . Discovered my Dyson had lost suction when I used the attachments, checked the filters and think I answered my own question, so washed them last night and put them on the rad overnight and have just put them back into machine and hopefully that will have solved the problem, need to hoover the hard floor in the dining room, kitchen and then run over the lounge again, and then the stairs. Will also try to get all the ironing done.

Have a list of baking items to do to, think I'm going to be a busy-bee today! Did remember to get the chicken out to defrost for tonights dinner, we're having chicken breasts with sage and onion stuffing wrapped in bacon, with potatoes and veg. Will be going to town to the bank, food shopping, pick up my prescription, need to buy some birthday cards too this morning. Then back home to get on with the list above, think I may have another night of very good sleep tonight!! If I get time will also try to sort out the pile of papers on my computer desk as I'm sure I don't really need all of them!! Need to do this as I'm in danger of not being able to see my screen if the pile gets any bigger!!

Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

    Good Morning Everyone
Rushing off to course this morning - but DH unexpectedly has the day off and he's offered to drive me in, will mooch around Chelmsford for a couple of hours and then take me out to lunch! (Not very OS, but very rare!!!) I think he's trying to cheer me up as one of the lovely earrings he gave me for Christmas dropped out the other day and can't be found anywhere. Grrrh!
Will come back later on. Meanwhile - hope you all have as good a day as possible. Take care.

  • Hi Guys!

It's just a quickie to say thanks for all the lovely messages for me and the family relating to FIL. He is still with us but they have increased the morphine and other drugs now and I feel its quite iminent. He wants to go. I sat and held his hand yesterday and I told him everything I needed too, with the main thing being grateful for him bringing up such a wonderful son who is now a wonderful father and husband. He told me not to be silly and my husband is mainly the way he is because of me as we met at 13 and were friends before GF/BF. He then said that he and OH were lucky to have me as a DIL/Wife....I said I think that's the morphine talking:p We then had a good cry together and I'm filling up again now. He still has his sense of humour but he is asleep 90% of the time.

Sorry my post isnt OS but I have caught up on the washing and drying. We have had fish and chips for the last 2 nights as a local good chippy have their fish and chips half price ATM, so we share a Large Cod and Chips for £3.50.

Twink-Thanks for my lovely letter yesterday. I really needed it and OH wanted me to say thanks and DD also.

I find out next week whether I need further treatment for my breast, but surely it cant be any more bad news!

    Anyway, again thanks everyone.
    HUgs to all.

Bitsy - they did Xray him - apparantly childrens bones have gaps in at the joints (till about 14) so sometimes its hard to tell? Luckily the top orthapedic man was there and had a quick look & thats when they said they didnt think it was broken, he's got to wear a sling till monday and rest. He seems ok at the moment but if I have any concerns I will take him straight back.

This does mean that I may not be able to make the london meet tomorrow :( as OH has tickets to see Southend play with his mate. Will see how we go fingers crossed & all that.

Morning all.........(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one.....

Mini rant coming up.....What is it with men.....for two days I have been asking OH to slow up, just work in the mornings, but oh no idiot features spends all day yesterday in the cold garage packing up. Last night he announced that his back had locked!!!! b****y typical just when I need him to be agile he sugars his back at the first f ence, which puts everything back onto me AGAIN.......well I have a workshop booked for tomorrow and I am going, he can lie in bed and starve or lie on the settee and be able to get into the kitchen for sustenance. Whats not packed when the removers come, they will have to pack, as I have said before Ii am not a donkey!!! It looks as though I will be driving the 200+ miles up before we stop for the night at Berwick upon Tweed.

Sorry rant over......its pouring with rain and OH told me last night rain is forecast for 1st Feb, just hope it blooming well changes before then. I had a cheque back from our holiday yesterday. I wrote and cancelled the cottage in France, its too close to us moving and we would have to travel the length of the country to the train, cancelling has saved me £650+

The agent and land lady came yesterday. Our deposit on this house should be paid back into the account within 2 weeks. They have been told to release the money with no deductions which is a great relief. Its almost £600.......against what we are spending now for this move. LL was at the old agents yesterday morning, I gather she gave them both barrels over the way they handled things when we came in here. It did not help that she was working away at that time. She has told the new agents that she just wants him to find new tenants, she will manage it herself.

I also spoke to her about the kitchen and bathroom floors, she is going to get new floor covering down before new people come in.

This morning I am taking down the fitments we put up in the bathroom and putting the old ones back. I will leave some of the medication for next week and pack the rest up in a box.

Not much OS going on here at the moment. I am thinking of ordering on line a Tesco delivery for the week we move in, that means I can really use up whats in the cupboards.

Supper tonight sausgae and mash, bread and butter pudding to follow......tomorrow will be HM fish and chips once I get back from my class.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
