Ryanair have changed my flight time without telling me!!!

On Wednesday this week I booked two tickets from London Stansted to Girona on the 10:50 service. I logged into the Ryanair website today to check my booking and the flight time has changed to 07:10! I have received no notification whatsoever. The confirmation email shows 10:50 but the booking details (and new flights on sale) are at 07:10. Has this happened to anyone else? I know Ryanair doesn't care about its passengers, but surely messing us about like this when we have to book transport connections is no joke! To get there in time to check in I will now have to get to the airport around 05:00, so leave home in the middle of the night! When I booked I expected (and paid for) a comfortable mid-morning flight time. What can I do? Ryanair has no email address and to phone them means ringing a premium rate number. I guess I am stuck with 07:10, unless they move it again.

Thanks. The flight is not until June, so I think what I will do it check nearer the time to see when and if I am still going then book transport connections nearer the time. This sort of thing is a nightmare for anyone with trains/coaches booked.

Unfortunately, it is a risk when booking flight so far in advance. I have had some movement with package holiday flights and a couple with Ryanair before, nothing as drastic as yours though

It is a pain as I only booked yesterday! I had the choice of a late-morning or evening flight, both of which were fine, so I chose late-morning. Had I have known they would move it to the early hours, I would have gone for the evening one. They could at least let me know.

The evening one could have moved to a late night one

what about trying to swap to the evening flight. People on here say ryanair customer services are great so this is their chance to prove it!

The evening flight is 18:40, but I guess that could change too. I think I'll wait a few weeks and see what happens with the flight times.
  • Did you check your junk email folder, as a notification can sit in there.

    C+P from the Ryanair site:

In the event of a schedule change Ryanair will endeavor to contact all passengers via the email address supplied at the point of booking, however we do recommend that passengers review their flight booking prior to departure via the Manage My Booking section on our website.

If a Ryanair flight is time changed significantly (more than 3 hours before or after the original departure time) and no suitable alternative flight is available, we will, upon application, offer a Travel Credit or a refund for all monies paid in respect of the time changed flight, without further liability.

Have you double checked the DATE of you amended booking because Ryanair flights to Girona operate at different times depending on the day of the week? Not likely but worth checking.

  • We booked flights from East Midlands to Carcassonne. We need to travel on the morning of Saturday 29th May. 2 days later Ryanair emailed to say that they had changed the schedule and our flights were now on Friday morning. We are both teachers and so can't travel on that Friday. Ryanair said we could accept the change, have a travel credit or request a refund. I thought a travel credit would be ok and I could use it to book alternative flights. Ryanair then informed me that it would take up to 14 days to process the travel credit and I couldn't use it before that. We know that the weekend we want to travel is likely to be busy so needed to book an alternative flight quickly before they sold out. I then requested a refund and surprise, surprise that also takes up to 14 days to process! So we booked another flight from Liverpool even though it cost an extra £100 plus a 2-3 hour drive and car park fees, we live quite near East Mids so these are also additional costs. The day after booking we received another email notification of change of schedule from Sat a.m. to Sunday p.m. Which is no good to us. So another request for a refund and another wait. In the meantime another email arrived saying that refunds could take up to 28 days because of the recent snow!

When I book a flight with Ryanair the money is instantly debited from my payment card. Why does it take Ryanair up 14 days (or 28 days) to refund it?
