Wow - lying about fees is a serious matter.

By the way, I asked FairFX about the fees and they replied:

Usage of the FairFX cards is absolutely free at any point of
sale, for example, if you pay for a meal at a restaurant.

They are not lying. You've just posted a link to the Currency Card when you should link to the Anywhere Card which is not a foreign currency card.

Er, my FairFX Pounds Sterling card IS a "Currency Card". As confirmed by the web site Cards tab listing it under "FairFX Currency Cards you own" identifying the currency as "Pounds Sterling".

But if you do have a link to the declaration of fees for card purchases on this type of card, please do post it.

I think the FairFX card is a good deal but it is confusing, they do seem to have different sets of rules for different cards and they are not clear on this, I have just watched a video (on their own site) explaining how it works and it clearly states that you get the rate at the point in time that you load the card but I have also read that it is calculated on the transaction date?

They could do with highlighting these differences - as could MSE!

Agreed! I wonder how many people who switched to the FairFX card to avoid Ryanair fees are unaware they are now paying FairFX fees that can be even higher.

Of course I have. There is no fraud, just your lack of due diligence.

    Here: What it costs

Maybe now you can stop posting ridiculous claims of 'fraud' everywhere.

Posted this on the other thread that you started:

Decided to look at the quoted link in your first post on your other thread and, lo and behold, what do I see?

Fair FX GBP (Anywhere) Prepaid MasterCard:
Card Issue Fee - £9.95 - FREE for Prepaid365 Customers.
    Monthly Fee - Free.
    Transaction Fee UK - 1.5%.
ATM Withdrawal Fee UK - 1.5%.
Reload Fee - Free load online by Debit or Bank Transfer, 1.5% charge for Credit Cards.

    Using Abroad
The FairFX Card is available in GBP, USD and EURO's.

The GBP card is best suited for usage abroad when travelling to non EURO/USD region where Euro's or dollar's are not the trading currency. Using a GBP card abroad will cost you 1.5% of the transaction value at ATM or POS.

If travelling to a EURO or USD region, then you should get a EURO or USD card respectively. A POS transaction abroad (in EUR/USD) is Free in the respective regions and an ATM withdrawal will cost you €1.50 or $2.00, respectively.

This is the link that you quoted in your other thread: http://www.prepaid365.com/fairfx-prepaid-mastercard.html

I think you ought to do the decent thing and delete or amend your posts claiming fraud/ripoff.
Whether you'll go as far as admitting you were just stupid is up to you.

Donnie, check the binding terms and conditions you agree when you buy the card. They have no mention (Whether by inclusion or reference) of this comission charge on GBP purchases from a GBP card. Hence the charges are unauthorised.

Please stop this nonsense. It is stated on clearly that there is a 1.5% usage charge on all transactions with the FairFx Anywhere card.

It is the USP of the card. The fact that you are trying to wriggle out of it tells us more about your character than anything else.

It's is clearly stated on all advertising and even in the Independent links which you have posted.

So why don't you find something more useful to do with your life, rather than trying to attack an apparently decently run British company for your stupid mistake?

There is no one else backing you up on this, as you are so clearly wrong.

The Caxton equivalent charges 2.5% for use abroad. Did you think that FairFx had no charges at all?
1.5% is entirely reasonable. Many use it to pay for RYANAIR flights and are happy to pay 1.5% instead the £5 per sector charges imposed by Ryanair.

Tell me, if there were no stated charges as you claim, there would be only costs and no gains for FairFx.

So stop fantasising that you have some sort of special Pounds Sterling card that has differing conditions from anyone else's Pounds Sterling(Anywhere) card. You are clearly not a smart as you are trying to tell us you are...with your 'binding terms and conditions' nonsense....when in fact there are no figures in the T&Cs at all.
