sorry, but it's a really poor decision. A smiley can be replaced with just as many (if not more) words which can hurt a person. I used the confused one all the time to signify my own thoughts etc - I'm now just writing
how is that any different to the smiley itself?! As for the rolleyes one, I again used that as a signal of my own ineptness etc in posts.
There are far more smilies which really should go down the same route if its about 'upsetting' newbies and I don't understand why we're all being treated like irresponsible children

I am really missing both
and
I couldn't agree more as both were, to my mind, used perfectly, but especially the confused one as it conveyed a simple haven't a clue but in a good way. It all seems a little pathetic, but if you're looking for rubbish ones to take off there are PLENTY there that could go. The whole argument from Dan just doesn't make an sense at all. Sorry Dan, but you're not a poster as such. :EasterBun:easter_ba:icotbaske:easter_os:grouphug: All of those are absolute rubbishy ones and would never be missed, and as for the Martin :money: one, it would be far more effective if he kept STILL.!
Sorry guys, but not one of your best moves on here, a little like some of those threads that remain on the DFW main board that really do hold newbies up from getting answers!!
