Hi all, just a quickie before I send out token payment letters; do we have to put a budget / soa with our token payment and notification of dmp letters? I've enveloped them all up ready to send but just with a covering letter and the notification of dmp letter.
I have never bought or used a postal order before, do you have to make them out to someone like a cheque? And do you have to pay extra than the value of it? Cheers!0 -
Thanks guys, I think tokens are going to have to be the way to go, again
Postal orders are pretty much a cheque, and they do cost a tad more, I think its like £1 for a £10 one, something like that.
I've just tried to set up SO's to make next months tokens and apparently I have to have a card reader (!!!!!!?) to set up payments! Grrrr such a chuffin' pallaver!Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -

Did the co-op not send you a wee blue gizmo? This your cardreader, looks like a calculator? Its a fantastic wee gizmo, lets you do secure payments from your bank account without having to remember all those extra passwords and pins. Don't tell me you've deep fried it or sold it in your basket of carp:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:More than Two Years in

Thanks for that info, when I deposited more money into the Co-op account today. I asked if I should have received anything through the post, other than the nice blue card and my new PIN number, most important things agreed. Girl asked if it was a basic account, I replied yes, she said that was it then. I mumbled something about online banking and she said something about registering online, guess I was expecting a welcome pack with that kind of info. Did you get the gizzmo when you enrolled online?
I also have a question, where do I find the address to send token payments to people like Barclaycard, M&S, John Lewis etc? The BC on the back says don't send correspondence with the payment and I'm guesing the other bills say the same. All my DDs, except for cancelling the M&S loan one (it does not come out until the end of the month) have been changed nowSo hope to send the token to M&S loan before it is due out of the HSBC bank and then stop that DD. PayPlan said DO NOT send token payment to HSBC for their loan until I move the extra spare money to the new bank.

Hi Gibbs
Sorry we are having the daily hysterical half hour, my wee gizmo came through the post about a week after I enrolled in the online banking. Its blue and does the job, I used to keep forgetting all of those pins and passwords with credit cards, this is much neater and easier to remember.More than Two Years in

True – I had to wait a week for a card reader from NatWest, great gizmos (if a bit of a palava!) Also True, on the claiming back charges and unenforceability thingy….I was thinking about doing it (I’m convinced my Cap1 card is unenforceable!) but when I spoke to the CCCS they said to sit tight for a while wait until the DMP is up and running otherwise you may upset the creditors….!!:eek:
Next – sorry not sure who mentioned it but, I sent off DMP notification/token payments and got a letter about 2 weeks ago saying that my query was ‘being dealt with’ and I should hear shortly….I’ve heard nothing since.Paddle No 16
