Re; the £25 on presents, this works out at £300 a year to cover 15 nephews and nieces and our son plus mine and his mums & dads & then each other, (this doesnt include friends and brothers and sisters)for birthdays and christmas. I do not think this is unreasonable as we cant NOT buy our little nieces and nephews birthday and christmas gifts, and certainly not our son. We have a very close family and this £300 is to cover presents for all these people for their birthdays AND Christmas. x
I know exactly what you mean about the presents Losing our presents figure is £10/month just to up our cccs figure, but I know that there is no way we will spend that amount, it'll just have to come out of the food money, and also ebaying...did quite a lot of Christmas that way last year, selling old toys and clothes for santa's spends...I hope you don't think I meantI thought it was too much....what I meant was if you post it on the main DFW forum/ board starting a new thread there asking for people to look and comment, that was what I knew people would say... do you get what I mean!??:oDMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

Post's been - M&S seem to at least have a consistent policy (and have been the nicest and human on the phone! I wish there was a way we coiuld give real feedback on individuals:mad:) they will accept my offer:jbut will default me as paying less than the 1% of the balance they require. Payment to be received by the due date of each month and no interest will be charged.....due date of which month, oh lordy am I going to have to make a call to collections and recoveries myself, how many security questions shall i ask them...
Also a short term acceptance from my santander... so we've heard from 6 of the 15, one defo no, 3 short term yes and two that we think are yes.
The postie will be wondering what's going on!
Taken ds to docs, gaestroenterwhatsit (not even going to try to spell it) if anything changes he's to go to a&e but keep going at home if can keep him drinking, of course the little monster won't!
Hope those phones are quiet, am I obsessed with that? Also dmp stress diet seems to be working, pj's that were too tight were nice and comy last night - mmm could be a prob with the clothes budget if I do too well!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

Hi Everyone and welcome HIN!
I guess with DH's salary we're just going to have to wait until he starts to find out - I think it'll be ok, I'll squirrel some cash away for bits and change the DD's to come out on 16th or something, been needing to do this anyhow!
Just got back from the chippy, got two shifts tomorrow  but its all good, I'm starting to feel really comfortable there which is obviously really :j YAY!! Still no post though which is a tad disheartening, and seeing as I need to squirrel this month, I'm thinking about writing to them all again and maybe send them another £1 now and then at end of March and then nothing until May's payday - dunno, what do you guys think?
I've also decided to have a go at reclaiming some charges which I need to do now, while we are still technically a "hardship" case. I'm also thinking that one of my debts might be one of those unenforceable jobs, anyone know much about that?
I'm aiming to go to the pub (for the first time in about 18 months) tomorrow to watch England v Ireland, really nervously looking forward to it - but I think DH might just collapse in disbelief if I manage it :rotfl:
Aw bless poor DS mama! Lots of dioralyte (sp?) and he'll soon be fixed!
Re: presents - I completely overspent last year and dug far too far into our overdrafts so I've decided to get crafty this year and make presents. I've just made some bracelets for mothers day, think the materials cost me about a fiver from ebay and that will do Mum, MIL, step-mum (plus matching earrings for her bday) and SIL bday so I'm chuffed with that!!Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -

I would just send the tokens again until you get sorted out, see my post above re tokens and paying full minimums. 2 shifts and visit to the pub:j:j England are of course going to lose, Scotland can't be get the wooden spoon this year, the boys have worked too hard:rotfl::rotfl:
Can't do the crafty stuff no time, or patience, will just try to stockpile over the year. Already got £30 for MIL birthday from doing surveys, M&S vouchers.More than Two Years in
