  • Long as he's drinking, NHS Direct and out of hours docs make me want to scream sometimes!!! Don't envy you though, mine are now past nappy stage - thankfully!
  • Mamajojo - DS2 still exploding????

Just wanted to add I didn't sign any letters to creditors. Read on here that you shouldn't but I'm not sure why.

    Morning all,

Please do not sign your letters, just digitally print please. The reason behind this I believe is so they cannot use your signature for something else. Its belt braces job.

Welcome LJM23K, good luck on your journey with us is it definately a rollercoaster of a trip, but the support on here is great!:T £1 token payments are fine to send with your DMP notification letters. Keep copies and send them recorded delivery. I know it is extra cost but its a good process. Have you changed your bank account yet? this is quite important, you don't want them moving money from your account to pay the debt, and believe me they do, do it.

Good luck anything else, just ask.

  • Good morning all,

Hope all babies are feeling well today.

So, all my creditors have refused to accept my min payment proposal( i think i mentioned this earlier). CCCS payment will go out to them today. Should it show on the CCCS website in my statement that payment has been made today? I have just checked and it is not showing anyone has been paid? Does it take a day or two to appear on my CCCS account do you think?

My mobile keeps ringing when I am at work and I am unable to get to the phone in time. Its is HSBC. Do I call them back or just let them keep trying to get hold of me?

I have not received 1 letter from any of my 8 creditors to either accept or acknowledge that I am going to start a DMP? All my letters were sent end of January to them, they have all got back to CCCS though. I do not know if to be worried at this stage or not. I am trying to keep my cool and not worry too much as I have been worrying about my debt for so long.

    Thanks xx

  • PS. I forgot to ask. Did I see on here about a number you can call to get cheaper 0845 numbers?. To contact certain organisations you need to dial the expensive 0845 number and I was wondering if I could try and bring my costs down.

    Thankyou again.

  • Hi ljm23k, this is a fab thread, everyone is great and we are all pretty much in the same boat. I am just starting my token payments (DMP starts May 1st), I am sending 10% with this covering letter:

    Dear Sir/Madam

    Account/Agreement number: ****************

Since making the above mentioned agreement with you my circumstances have changed.

I do want to repay my debts but at the present time I am not in the position to pay the minimum monthly payments. I have recently joined Payplan who offer a non fee-charging debt management plan, which I aim to start on May 1st. (ID no: *********)

In the interim month or so I shall make a token monthly payment(s) of £** as a sign of good faith. As soon as I have updated my situation and the Debt management plan is fully set up I / Payplan will contact you again.

As other people answer the telephone who are not aware of my situation, ie, my children. I would ask that all correspondence between us should be in writing.

I hope this is acceptable on a temporary basis.

    Yours faithfully

  • I can answer my own question dohhhh!!! my DMP agreement states that payment will be made to my creditors on or around the 25th of every month.

  • Morning All and Welcome noobie

naughty the website is saynoto0870 and its got lots of numbers you can use as alternatives to the more expensive ones, you might want to check your phone package, mine the benighted talktalk inefficiecy winners actually includes the 0845 and 0870 numbers for free in my call package, its about the only thing they've done right......
I think you shouldn't sign because some less than honest DCAs in the past have allegedly scanned signatures on to documents, so better safe than sorry. Although DH has had no end of frustatating calls with Cap 1 who insisted that because the PRINTED signature did not match his original signature they thought someone was trying to commit fraud, although how going on a DMP consitutes fraud, beats me, would he just not have run away or something/???
Mamma Hope exploding botton is feeling better, just make sure he drinks loads and don't ever eat chicken korma again.

I'm really disappointed to hear that the payments are not showing on the CCCS website, I was so looking forward to seeing that huge total shrink a bit, even if it was just a little bit!

    Hi Losing
have you posted your soa on the main board, i'm not sure what to do about these! It looks like its good to me, but i'd expect someone to say £25 on presents was too much!
we didn't send a token to current account od just the notification letter, but we have made sure we didn't go over the od limit, and are 92p under it which is a miracle and like a token of at least £100!
Got to run, didn't realise what time it is, dd will be late for school again!

Good morning! I havent posted this on the main board, where do I post it? Re; the £25 on presents, this works out at £300 a year to cover 15 nephews and nieces and our son plus mine and his mums & dads & then each other, (this doesnt include friends and brothers and sisters)for birthdays and christmas. I do not think this is unreasonable as we cant NOT buy our little nieces and nephews birthday and christmas gifts, and certainly not our son. We have a very close family and this £300 is to cover presents for all these people for their birthdays AND Christmas. x

PDD -Thankyou so very much for that number!!:j

Don't be upset about the payments coming out, I'm sure it's just me they will appear. They might even appear tonight. I think I'm just impatient and want to see the result NOW!!!
