  • Hi Ted
just struggling on, a wee run in with Egg first thing, (see my post above) but other than that a quiet but busy day, desparate to catch up with work paperwork and get to the weekend. Just wandering what to do about RBS, they are the only ones we haven't heard from, any ideas?

    Afternoon everyone :hello:

Just ate my (free) lunch, reading through all your posts, you have been busy!...can't believe we've been invaded my a troll...the cheek of it! :rotfl:

mamajojo - completely agree with what everyone says, don't let them get you down. Remember we're David's against their Goliaths's...but remember what happened there! :T We're all behind you and I'm sending BIG hugs x

I still have naff all news, HSBC are still phone stalking me, which I continue to ignore. Just logged onto my NatWest a/c (iPhone app is BRILLIANT) and see that 3 of my token payments have been banked, but it won't tell me who yet. So they might not be speaking to be but at least they're getting my letters!

I shall be a little AWOL this weekend (don't miss me too much ;) ) my wonderful best friend is getting married in a couple of weeks so we've got her Hen day/night tomorrow and I can't wait!! Sold some stuff on eBay, so can really enjoy myself (I know it's a bit naughty but she's by BFF and I'll only get to do this once).

Hope you all have a lovely (stress free) weekend xxx

  • Phoned the Co-op they have sent out the info, so I've got an account with them now. Also phoned PayPlan and asked if I should get the Co-op to switch the M&S, HSBC loan DDs or just the Rent, Gas etc. Don't think the lady quiet understood what I was asking, as she said just send them token money. I wasn't going to close the HSBC account until the new one has my wages going in. I should have just enough for the DDs to HSBC and M&S. Another lady is going to phone me back and set the ball rolling with the DMP, because the new account should be up and running by the time the DMP kicks in if I set it up now.

Going to be odd not paying the loans and Barclaycard bills.

Funny thing, if HSBC had let me piggyback my loan as they have in the past I would not have needed to do this to them, since the loan would finish at the same time I get my final salary retirement pensions and lump sum. If PayPlan are right in their tally I will be better off per month and finish at the same time. Granted Credit rating won't be good.

Hi, have only managed to change 2 direct debits today - EON for gas and electric which i was able to do online,

    Hi losingbigtime,

Sorry to jump on the thread, but I wondered if I could offer you some advice.

:T nataz asked about your tariff, this is an excellent point as although you've managed to see a Direct Debit reduction this may be able to be furthered if you aren't already on the best rates possible.

We are also able to give advice on energy efficiency matters which you may be interested in. Remember less usage means lower bills, so cutting down on your energy is great way to make a saving.

The E.ON website offers lots of energy efficiency advice, you might find our interactive house interesting, also the 10:10 campaign. Like a say there is a wealth of information available if you want it, the green boards on MSE are brilliant as well.

If you would be interested in a tariff review, but don't want to call us, I'm happy to help. My email address is on the left, please feel free to use it.

Hi PDD, and Yikes re Egg, they are one of mine...not sure re RBS, you seem to be brilliant at phoning people, have you heard nothing at all?

Egg wasn't so bad, just added another 130 quid to our pile that I wasn't expecting. we have had nothing from RBS, no statement, no letters and no phone calls. Maybe they've lost all of our details:laugh::laugh::laugh:

  • Well done at Aldi.:j:j:j:j:beer:
I never buy enough there, or any supermarket being a single dweller, to need anything other than a shopping basket. I have my Debit card from the Co-op, nothing else on the mat when I got home except the Barclaycard bill. Will take shiny new card into the branch on Saturday and pay some money in if that is all I need.
