Hi Coffee Break, glad theres been no post, a bit of normality eh?
It is, but in a perverse way, i actually want the letters now. I just want to know where i stand with each creditor... i could phone them i guess, but i'm worried if i call them they'll start phoning me 10 times a day again
. How are things with you? Hope the calls and letters are less now.
Well I'm still a babe its just the CCCS bit thats different:rotfl: lol!!!
Think I've definitely maybe decided that self-managing is the way to go. Phone doesn't bother me so much now I've pulled the plug againand I will definitely stay hanging around and probably get you lovely people to let me copy your CCCS letters
...
You're a rugger-loving, Guiness swigging, debt-@ss kicking babe. You're my heroine! :P :T :rotfl:. How was the rugby?
I think you're brave to go it alone.. hope you do stick around and keep us up-dated though... might encourage me (and others) to go down that avenue possibly once things are more settled :T.
Exharris, thanks for the info, much appreciated. I guess there's always a chance things can go wrong, but this is probably the best i've felt regarding my debt in 7 months. Feel like i'm slowly gaining control again... famous last words, huh!.
:T Kaths, it's a great feeling, isn't it .
Just watched Terminator Salvation on DVD for the 1st time and i'm completely in love with Sam Worthington who plays Marcus *sigh*. Will be having lovely dreams tonight :smileyhea.
Don't let the bed-bugs bite.

Am liking the sound of these letters Tedsd..are they from mse or cccs?
We've not had any calls for a couple of days and no bad ones for longer but I've just had a most snooty one from santander - doesn't help that the BOY on the phone sounded half my age, and was like a bulldozer. Maybe getting their full name before going on with calls would make the ones inclined to treat you like dirt behave like you are a human being, all be it one that's ****** up the money.
15 yikes! CCCS creditors letters ready for the post, no doubt the phone and the letter box will be exploding by next weekend!
Hope you're all having a good weekend, going to make a bird table with little ones and dh now, using junk from garage, though what we will put on it to feed them is another matter!?! No room in budget bird seed!!!!DMP mutual support thread member 371LBM Jan 2010DMP Paddle No 20 -

Tedsds, yeah, Cap1 are pretty persistent
. They have so many numbers, but any number i didn't recognise was ignored. Have you tried whocallsme.com? The site can sometimes give info on which company is trying to contact you. It's very helpful, i used it alot
. Good luck with your letters, put the bug/gers in their place
.
I'm flattered Catherine Zeta... err...True :rotfl:, never had anyone quote me in their siggy before! *beams with pride*_party_  :rotfl:. Have to admit, that i can't really drink Guinness, i'm more of a Bailey's gal
. One glass and i'm anybody's :P. *I hope Sam Worthington is reading this* :rotfl:
Sorry, nataz, i'll keep my x-rated dreams to myself*Now Mr Worthington, where were we...?* :P

Hey, been on dmp for 8 months now! Been visitng this site daily and id still be the naive idiot i was when i was 19 still! Now 21 and feel very embarrest to admit im in debt at such a young age! But this site is excellent! Got into debt with loans and credit cards overdraft and payday loans! Slowly getting there tho! Doubt i will ever have a mortgage or anything got 2 defaults on my account one for a £21 Natwest step account which had the advantage blue on it! Best part about it i never detached my card from my activation letter and never activated the account but they still continuted to take 12 a month out despite even phoning and telling them to cancel it! and the other default was for a £1000 overdraft they are all being paid off and my debt stands at around 4 thousand pound! and i still feel lifeless with all this debt lol! But this sites a great help!

:rotfl: OH had a right giggle when I showed him my siggy - said "more Waynetta Slob than CZJ" I can see his point though, pint of the black stuff, rugby on the telly and me in my PJ's drooling over the lucious legs :rotfl:
Hi Sam! Thanks for popping in! It's a relief to hear there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even if it is a way off!
Right, I'm off to write some letters! Have a good day all!Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Hi Tedsd - dont know what advice to offer as I am new to all this, but I just wanted to send you a hug ((tedsd)) and let you know that I am sure you are not the first and wont be the last to worry like this. The CCCS, I am sure will be able to advise you of your best course of action. Hope all gets better

I know you don't want to but read the letter again, I bet there are lots of "mays, coulds and will possiblys" in there. This sounds like standard scare the poo out you letter. You have been keeping them in the loop and I presume you kept copies of all of your letter? You need to get a bit assertive and angry here, give them a call and complain they are sending you threatening letters and ignoring your attempts to sort the problem. Sometimes they have to be shown that you will not just lie down and take the abuse: and keep asking for a manager until you get one and keep taking names and telling them that they are not helping you or addressing your problem. I manage frontline customer facing staff at work and I can assure you the banks appear to have no idea how to train people to speak to customers, I would employ about 3 out of the loads I've spoken to, really. Try to calm down, its not really worth a sleepless night, it is not your fault that they don't appear to be able to do their jobs.More than Two Years in
