Thanks LJM, haven't been to Docs - I've cracked a rib before so know that it is just a case of taking painkillers, either paracetomol or Ibruprofen and waiting for it to heal on its own!!

I have a feeling that the car may swallow a bit more of the money I've put away, just have to look at ways of saving bit more next month!:)

Ooh I have a question about full and finals actually.

A couple of our debts are really quite small, just a few hundred pounds. If we saved that up, could we pay off the whole of that debt, and just up all the other amounts on the DMP payments? Would we go through the DMP company for that? Seems unfair on the larger creditors if they're not the ones that get extra amounts, but obviously it would be great to get the overall number of creditors down!

This is all really hypothetical as to whether we'd ever be in a position to do that, but it's nice to think of these things!

I suspect that your DMP company would pro-rata any lump sums that you managed to save up to be honest, but I have heard people say CCCS have taken both approaches at times. I guess you'd just have to ask the question if and when the cash is available! Sorry to be so vague, but thats yet another reason why I'm self managing!

  • aaargh, its been a very busy night, we were on page 3 this morning, (no dirty jokes anyone, all fully dressed). off to work now, had to get up really early as forgot about my expenses, that would have been a fine disaster as they are around £400 this month, the price of petrol is horrendous.

Well it's hump day! Think I'm pleased about that, mainly because I have a day off from the chippy!!

DH said last night "how's things going money wise?" so we're powwowing later on....think its probably a good thing because he's been stressing about money recently so I'm going to try to put his mind at rest - unfortunately, until he starts his new job the financial projections aren't exactly rosy.... wish me luck!

Oh, and I need to write letters again this morning so if I'm loitering, give me a boot please!!

I've just been doing my expenses from a trade show I had to go to at the weekend. Assuming I can pick up the cash by lunch, I can actually have lunch plus we'll be able to buy tea tonight, woohoo!

  • Good morning lovely ladies,
I spoke to BoS this morning after I decided to bite the bullet and they were charming, referred to my phone call last month when they advised me to contact Payplan and are pleased I have done that!!!
Happy to have tokens for a month, will def accept DMP, consider freezing interest, please inform us of any changes, etc, etc.
Very odd, was like I was doing them a favour?
Perhaps it's just rhetoric but the chap was really supportive, however he did stress that if I miss a payment on the DMP it may be a major problem.
Only Egg and Citibank to go, not sure what thay are like, but MBNA and BoS have been charming.....................so far.
plus the sun is shining on the south coast, delightful!!
