Thats the price list at Kwik Fit - the guys down here really are good so I imagine the standard must be faily high throughout the country.

  • Well Guys you did it again, I go to earn a crust and you put on around 3 pages!!!

Lots of well dones, you've all made great progress

Bailey Don't worry about mercers, they are just ridiculous, try and imagine them with no clothes on if you ever have to speak to them again, sitting in rows, buck naked shouting at us poor creditors like mental demented chickens in a battery hen house, its got to make you giggle.
I personally go to a wee local garage, likes to be paid in hard cash, does a great job, but likes hard cash iykwim.

well done True on your medal, what's it for???

and by the way, I'm still chewing.....................so maybe the cheap meat is not the way to go????

Maybe marinade it for a couple of days first?? Have you had a look on Old Style? They seem to know a fair bit about making cheap meat yummy! I love their rubber chicken idea, do it most weeks!!

Hi Everyone, I can't believe how many pages there are to catch up on!!!! It's been a week since I've been on here.....loads to catch up on. I guess it serves me right for working away for three days last week. Didn't have the best weekend either as I fell and managed to crack a rib........painfull, have to release the handbrake with my right hand cos otherwise it hurts too much :(

It looks like everyone is going in the right direction.... I got really excited on Thursday cos it was the day before payday and we still had £200 in the bank, I moved half of it into the savings account and kept the other half for the new tyre that cost me £94!!!! Really strange, I was so used to seeing the wages being swallowed up by the overdraft and still being in the red! I can only echo those who have said that it is such a good feeling to be in control.:j

I too have my car booked in for its MOT hence the new tyre.....fingers crossed it goes through okay.

The first CCCS payment goes to the creditors in 2 days time - hopefully they will stop adding interest at some point.....or I can see the DMP getting longer!

Still it's been great to not have the phone calls.............although I still jump when the phone rings and have to look at who is ringing!

    Catch you all later
    A xx

Ouch, Nanny!! Have you been docs? Hope it feels better soon!

£200 over is a brilliant amount!! Keep going like that and you'll be making full and finals in no time at all!! :D

Ooh I have a question about full and finals actually.

A couple of our debts are really quite small, just a few hundred pounds. If we saved that up, could we pay off the whole of that debt, and just up all the other amounts on the DMP payments? Would we go through the DMP company for that? Seems unfair on the larger creditors if they're not the ones that get extra amounts, but obviously it would be great to get the overall number of creditors down!

This is all really hypothetical as to whether we'd ever be in a position to do that, but it's nice to think of these things!

Hi all, a quiet day here. An email from next re missed payment. The email had a link to reply if you were unable to pay so told them the CCCS ref no and that I would only be able to discuss the DMP in writing through CCCS. Always worth a try!
