Thanks for all advice. Forms are almost all filled in now, yay! Just have to wait till payday so can afford postage…

One more question sorry. We've done the form with all our creditors' details for National Debtline, and for this we need an 'address to send payment to' for each debt. We also obviously need this address to send the letters and token payments. For credit cards it's fairly easy to find the address, but what do you do for overdrafts?

For my overdraft I sent them to the branch address, they cashed the payment so it was fine

    Thanks.

How's everyone doing in the run up to payday? This was our last month of making minimum payments, so we're completely broke - have £5.60 in my wallet, which needs to go on petrol, and am owed about £7 expenses from work. Won't get them until Weds though - then Thursday I'll get £30 tax credits, and Friday is payday :-)

Luckily I don't really have anything that needs buying by then - we've got some food in the house, and most importantly we've got stuff my son can eat (we've gone weeks before now living on pasta with tomatoes, and jam sandwiches, but have to be a bit more responsible with his diet!). I see a lot of marmite sandwiches in my future this week though!

Ted I'm not sure whether being terminated or delinquent is the best thing, I think you might edge it there as you are terminated, then they can't charge interest?????? Live in hope my pets, live in hope.
Rhian it will be better next month, you deserve a small slap for letting it get so bad, your health is much more important than the pesky credit cards.

    See you all later

Payday can't come soon enough this month!! I honestly can't work out where all my money has gone!! (Says alot about my budgetting "skills" :rotfl:)!!

I also can't figure out why the tax credits all of a sudden started arriving on a Thursday instead of a Monday?? It's thrown my week out being broke until Thursday!!

  • Hi JL

CCCS will send you a welcome pack with your all important number and letter template to send to your creditors. When that arrives get cracking sending tokens and the letter. Make sure you have a new unconnected with any debt bank account and change all your priority DDs, cancel the rest. You are up and running, well done
