Hi True,
Thanks for the reply. Going to sit down with figures and paperwork tonight. I am assuming you used a standard letter to make the initial offers.
No doubt I will be back with more questions soon. Thanks
Hiya Julie,
In order to get my figures right I used the CCCS online Debt Remedy because then they give you a template letter to use if you wish to self manage, plus you can also say that you've received advice from them and decided to self manage following that advice. I've found that "name dropping" helps to hold sway with some creditors tbh.

Its gonna be a sleepless night here.....
Today we went to a home ed group where we were learning about other countries and cultures and I sampled some Arabic coffee and am as high as a kite on it!!!:j My eyes are all wide and I keep making spelling mistakes!!
Anyway....I decided to take action today as barclaycard have been calling constantly since the weekend. I called them and the man was as nice as could be (maybe he had some of the Arabic coffee!!:rotfl:) Asked me if I wanted a dmp with barclaycard or if I had contacted a management organisation. They hadn't received anything yet from cccs so they put the account on hold for 30 days, stopping all charges and interest (and phone calls) and suggested I tell cccs to resend the paperwork.Paddle no. 12

First creditor call from Barclaycard and to my works number she was wanting me to pay £118 straight away over the phone. Couldnt explain to her that I was starting a DMP as I am in a office with a number of others who would hear!! Got a number off her to ring them back and also told her to ring my mobile in future and not work. She was constantly saying so you will ring back and pay. I just kept repeating I would be calling back but never mentioned payment. Nightmare i was hoping none of them had my works number. Has anyone else had these calls after late payment. I have sent them a token payment as well which has been cashed with my DMP notification letter so they should know. Maybe its just one department not contacting the other0

Thats good what number did you ring? Was it one on your statement. Woman I have just spoken to gave me a premium 0844 number?0 -
got home to the usual post lying on the mat - one was a statement from Natwest Credit Card, showing that they had taken the token payment but the interest was MASSIVE and still asking for the normal repayment. So it looks as though they are not accepting or have not been contacted by CCCS yes, although they clearly have my Notification of DMP letter as they have cashed the token payment. Also Natwest Current Account (overdraft) have now taken my account offline so I cant even check if they are taking my token payments / SMP payments as I dont receive paper statements!
I havent been contacted by any of the creditors by phone as I have never given any of them my number, so all quiet on that front.0 -

Hi Candypop, I called the number on my statement. Like you I had sent the token payment with the notification of dmp. Hopefully they will do the same for you as they did for me today.Paddle no. 12

Thanks ljk23k - i rang bcard and they were quite nice once i explained the situation even tho I was shaking like a leaf. he said he would put a note on my account and to get CCCS to contact them even tho they have cashed my token payment so must have my notification letter. lets just hope they dont ring work again as I was soo embarrassed especially when I was asked who was that on the phone. I havent heard from Halifax might bite the bullet and ring them whilst I being brave. Maybe tomorrow. Off to fat club in a bit to see how much weight I have lost this week NOT0
