bs7 wrote:Firstly, as others have told you - there are already a couple of threads on this "bargain" - therefore had you used the search function you would not have had to post this. So do you want a "thank you" for it any way though.
Second, i am merely pointing out that there have been a lot of complaints about the flowers: "rubbish"; "very disappointing"; "not very good"; "looks like a few weeds"; "more like a £4.99 bunch from a supermarket"; "very annoyed" / "very angry"; "not impressed at all".
This site is about money saving - and if the quality of flowers is as bad as is suggested it doesn't seem as if it's either a bargain or a good deal in any sense of the word.
No, not interested in a "thank you"
This web site is about saving money. You are correct. Getting something originally priced at £300 for £100 is saving money. If the price was never, in fact, £300, the £20 Quidco discount/cashback on the £100 certainly is.
If the quality is poor then I will be disappointed. I have looked back at the threads you quoted (and also seen on the Tesco flowers post today) that there are many people that are happy with ValueFlora.
I shan't stick up for them as I am yet to see their products and will be sure to share my thoughts on them, whether good or bad.
My point on manners is that this site relies on people taking altruistic steps to share information i.e. costing them time if not actual financial expense. The cost of ignoring the advice is zero. There is no need to say anything if all that is to be said is negative. This applies generally to the attitude of some MSErs who have taken a holier-than-thou approach to "Newbie Money Savers" as if to assert their place in the MSE food chain.
I am completely open to people critiquing an offer, in fact I welcome it. It is the tone of it that is often inappropriate. Manners, for all you keen money savers, are free. Feel free to use them. If you make people feel bad for posting an offer, they won't post them.[STRIKE]Something witty[/STRIKE]0 -
well, I bought these for my mum's birthday.
They were £9.96, but then I got my 20% quidco cashback and £3 worth of petalpoints...
good deal I reckon....0 -
Are they the Asiatic lilies?

I think so.... I bought them in July - they were the offer of the month......0 -
Got my 1st (August) bunch this morning. 1st September! Flowers were half dead and rubbish. Email them to tell them as much. I wouldn't have paid £3.99 for them let alone what they cost. Bit of a give-away that they are not worth the £299 for the year that they claim when the customs sticker (they came from Guernsey) stated "enclosed value £10!" Hah!0

I ordered a bunch of their flowers of the month, before. It looked on their picture like a lovely big bunch of freesias in reality was a very small bunch and I was disappointed as Id hoped my mum would be really pleased, she obviously wasnt!
I hope not too many of you have signed up for their yearly thing, I worry about what you'll get.
Good luck to those who have complained. I didnt, but I wont order from them again! If you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -

Might be only worth about £3. They are cheap short lillies, you can buy them most flower shops for £3 a bunch. There are a couple of those bunches in there.0 -

Or here. Infact nowhere would sell a bunch of flowers of that quality for £3.00.0 -
