  • charcaul...I have been reading this thread with interest and personally if I were in your shoes I would contact Trading Standards, take a photo of said 2 stems and damn well make a complaint. 2 stems cannot be worth £30. That to me is a proper rip-off and I would definitely ring Trading Standards and find out where you stand. It's disgusting. Some people seem fine with their flowers but if you are not then you can complain.

In fact the more I read this thread the more I feel inclined to threaten the "whipper snapper" with Watchdog. Sometimes companies fall short of what they promise but they should always listen to their customers. After this PR exercise I don't think many people will order from him again.

    Good luck.
  • Thanks quickstepqueen. I have emailed Value flora with my complaint, I will wait for there response and if not satisfactory I will definitely take your advice and contact Trading Standards.

    I will keep you posted....

Think you have done the right thing contacting the company first, give them chance to put it right then contact trading standards.

Would ask for a complete refund if I was you, this company doesn't seem to use complaints to the service!!

I sent an email to valueflora and they responded quite quickly. I stated that I was disappointed with the weeds I received and they said they would refund £83.30 which means I have been charged for 2 bouquets.

I am quite pleased with this result, pity my broadband provider wouldn't do the same thing.
  • I received a reply this morning offering a replacement bouquet which I accepted. I will see what this one is like and take it from there. However, I will photograph this and all remaining flowers that are received just in case this problem rears its ugly head again!

For anyone else that has the same problem this was a paragraph from the reply i received, although mine was within this criteria:
"Our terms and conditions do state that any quality issues to have to be brought to our attention within 7 days of delivery, and we do require photographic evidence now in order to investigate the complaint further."
  • I got the email and was tempted, as I've bought flowers from them on several occasions. The flowers I got for a funeral which was overseas, were particularly good. I wrote and told them, and got a nice reply.
However, after reading reports here I decided not to bother with the monthly 'bouquet'

I did look at the site today though, and saw this

I ordered the monthly bunches for my mum. She liked the first bunch sent in September- even though I was perhaps a bit dissapointed by the size of it. They were nice flowers and were lovely and scented which was good. But now the October bunch hasn't arrived and I'm dreading a measly bunch of weeds getting sent. I have complained and I will let you know if I hear anything.

I haven't received the October bunch yet either, but judging by the last two bunches I got, Iam not all that bothered.

I think I will complain to them anyway, only because I don't want them to wriggle out of it, but they appear to be a very shoddy company run with very underhand sales ethics.

    Steer clear.

    Kevin.
  • I haven`t had october`s bunch either
  • I emailed them a week ago about Octobers bunch and they said there was a delay in sending them.

They arrived on Saturday and maybe i have been lucky but this is my 4th delivery and the first 3 have been superb but this was poor

My wife said "why post them to use, you could have bought the last bunch from the petrol station"

I emailed ValueFlora and they have offered a replacement which i have accepted and await delivery

All said they DO answer emails VERY quickly so i cannot fault them for that and to offer replacements so quickly please me , i will stick with them and see how they go
