Once again you ignored the points made (as you were shown to be wrong, again), so there is no point trying to reason with you, or this discussion continuing.

Are you a Virgin media censor?

This is a consumers board stop trying to censor me.

You address my points....Define Totally and Never please!

Robt you seem to know a little too much about the weasel wording and get outs that Virgin are using to be a normal consumer and to even defend those weasel words of Virgin is not the actions or views of a normal consumer.

    Read Virgins own words.........

Our current trial policy is active in the following areas:
    • Wigan
    • Blackpool
    • Acton
    • Aldershot
    • Preston
I do not live in those areas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. I am stating that I can't be bothered talking to someone who won't engage their brain or answer questions which are asked about their problem. I have better things to do.

I will let you have the last word, I'm sure it will make you feel better. Why not include some red text and definitions of words and talk about bananas too.

And you are STILL wrong about the traffic management. EVERYONE is subject to it. But some people in certain areas have are on a trial with different parameters. It is not rocket science.

Seeing as you are deliberately not including the relevant information to try and make yourself took better, I will include the link about it for everybody to see: http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/internet/traffic.html

And no, that page is not hidden, you don't have to go hunting for it either.

Have fun arguing with whoever will take your bait.

Robt if you were a normal consumer you would see the rediculousness of the acceptance of that situation.

Everyone may be subject to VIRGIN speed throttling but their website and policy statement says its a trial and in certain areas only!

Show me the Virgin statement that says Virgin are applyng Speed throttling in all areas?????????? ....they wont admit that..but they do!

Why would a normal consumer defend Virgin in this matter????

Virgin are trying to fudge the issue again, they are indicating or implying HERE that the speed throttling is a trial and in certain areas only, when in fact the throttling is in all areas and the so called trial in specific areas is actually EXACTLY the same as that being applied everywhere else.

Its a Virgin marketing and get out fudge .

Since the OP finds VM's behaviour so reprehensible (selling him something he didn't need, but quite voluntarily agreed to buy), why doesn't he now just take his business elsewhere?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    I dont want to ..........

BUT that does not excuse or allow VIRGIN to mislead!!!!!!!!!!

This is a consumers board and there is an issue of integrety here.

So as a good MSE member I refuse to roll over and die and accept it!

Yes, but I am one with a brain, and one who is able to read contracts before agreeing to them.

Well reading the adverts and terms and conditions is what I do and I have a brain as well.

I have submitted my complaint about Virgin Media to the ASA

    Copy of submission.

Virgin claim Unlimited broadband, already an abused word that seems to be widely accepted, but Virgin take this to a new level by claiming it's TOTALLY unlimited and that consumers NEVER have to worry about going over the limit.
All very misleading as they then go on to say how they will limit and restrict your broadband if you go beyound set limits.
My complaint is with respect to Virgin Medias misuse and misleading use of the words Totally and Never within their advert.
Quick link to Virgin advert conditions
    http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/internet/traffic.html

Also the misleading and ambiguous referral to trial areas for the restrictions to apply. The restrictions are implied to only occur in
    • Wigan
    • Blackpool
    • Acton
    • Aldershot
    • Preston
when in fact they occur all over the UK, again misleading.

I have done my duty as a Moneysavingexpert and savvy consumer dispite the pressure from certian members to shut up roll over and accept this.

It looks like you have accepted the fact that you were traffic managed all along then. But of course, you won't admit that :rotfl:
