He says he's fine; he does have high BP, but his meds are keeping it under control.....
My Dad has been on different blood pressure meds for years (before his stroke ) and I can guarantee that they 'put him off his game' for a good long while - Mum told me. Sometimes he'd be ok and others not. I wonder if Mr LW is playing on his PC games as a way of not doing anything IYSWIM? He may be as worried about it all as you are but, being manly & stoic, is not saying anything? Bigs hugs to you both xx

The funeral was very nice if it can be called that. The vicar was lovely even though he'd never met MIL and my darling DH managed to stand up in front of everyone and give his eulogy without breaking down :A We were all upset but feel happier knowing that all the pain is over for her now. Thank you everyone for the love & support.

We have decided to order a takeaway tonight as I wasn't in the mood for cooking much this morning understandably. It'll be the first one in ages so I'll enjoy it - even though I'll be eating it thinking how much nicer my own version of it will be & how much cheaper :o:rotfl:

Glad that today went well for you SunnyGirl xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Good afternoon chums, well my smashing pal June has just left to drive home to Dartford as she has to meet her DD off the train tonight as she borrowed her car to get downhere. We have had a brilliant day and done a 'tip ' run with my 7 seater car full of junk. Then we filled her car up with stuff for her local charity shop and my computer room is looking amazing I can't believe how much stuff we got shifted today.I am hoping to buy a smaller computer workstation (any ideas of where ?)as the one I have is enormous and wooden and half fills the little room.We worked solidly from 0.8.30. until lunchtime then had a break for a quick tip trip then back home for a cheese salad, then back to work de-cluttering again.
I feel as though I have got control of my house again instead of it all piling up on top of me. I am walking on air at the moment and althugh the weather is a bit gloomy and damp I'm not in the least bit bothered as my house is looking so good .I think I should 'market' her as a professional de-clutterer. I am just off to have an early dinner tonight as I have some lasagne left over from yesterday, so no meal to cook ,just 'ping it' in the microwave then I am going to put my feet up and have a well-earned rest and watch some mindless t.v.
Hope eveyone has had a good day.
    Cheers chums

    Afternoon!

Did not make it 'in' yesterday, was the first day back at it out on the park, only mornings but I'm very much a creature of habit so it'll take some getting used to not having the whole day to get what I want done, done. It has been quite a long break from being out there.

After I'd finished this morning had to rush about and get lunch ready as I was running a tad late this morning and didn't get as much done for lunchtime as I'd planned. After lunch I did up the dishes, ran the hoover around and got the sheets washed and dried, cleaned out BH's thermos, changed into my 'slobbin' clothes, made a coffee and popped on to t'internet. Not certain what is for tea tonight, there are a couple of options in the fridge, soups in the cupboard . . . MIL brought us an Aunt Bessie's Apple crumble (frozen), we've never had it so may give that a go tonight too seeing as though there is some lovely vanilla ice cream in there too calling out!

Best be off and get through emails and try to catch up a bit on my RSS feeds - also need to work out next weeks menu this evening, think I'll be saving the ironing for tomorrow afternoon.

Have a good evening, and if you're not having such a great day thus far ((((Hugs))))

    Hi everyone,

Sunnygirl, I'm glad that today went as well as it could.

I've had a busy few days, so no time to post, but just wanted to say how great it was to meet zippychick on Sunday. She's every bit as lovely in real life as she is on line. Boy does she make the most fabulous chilli jam and ds2 is still talking about her carrot cake! Aussie, I may drink like a fish but the lovely zippy could drink me under the table! ;):D:p

I've been rushed off my feet today sorting out shopping that should have been done yesterday, meeting a friend for lunch and the day didn't start well with me spilling a glass of ribena on the bed so that had to be stripped and washed.

Just finished supervising the homework and put a shepherds pie in the oven for tea so it's time to sit down and have a cup of coffee. :D

I haven't read the thread properly yet, so off to do that now. I hope you all have a good evening.

Arrived home with a thumping head, probably stress from not being able to hear, lol, that & working through my lunch break yet again & working an extra 40 minutes.
LW hope the situation resolves itself soon & it won't be anything to do with you or how you look.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Late on today, been visiting a friend so had a nice catch up.

MSD - sorry about to hear about Tris's accident.
Mioliere - sounds like getting through your MOT is costing a fortune!
Sunnygirl - glad funeral went well.
N9eav - awful incident to have to investigate. Have pulled a few long shifts myself, so know that feeling. I'm going to the CID office for a 3 month attachment in a weeks time, hope I don't get too many long shifts!

Having a total mind blank what to cook for tea, I just can't be bothered (sounds awful I know!). Sure I'll think of something, just need a bit of inspiration.

SunnyGirl, I'm so glad it went well, and that MIL had a nice sendofff (as I always think of it).
I don't blame you for having takeaway; enough to have to deal with in one day, without having to cook a meal as well. (((HUG)))
