Good morning to you all :)

Well, that's Monday over for another week! Had a busy day at work and then my evening was taken up too. Much of the same again today, I reckon.

Lunch will be lentil and bacon soup again - its a bit of a thick one so sticking to our ribs! The evening meal is going to be quiche and salad. Managed to get some of the Co-op's Best range ones in the RTC section for £1 each instead of £2.99 last week, so they've gone in the freezer.

I didn't realise that there was a difference between British headlights and French ones - every day's a school day!

Have a good day and hugs all round.

    Morning all

Dark and foggy here this morning.

Had a very busy day yesterday customers just kept arriving - we seem to be having quite a lot of those sort of days at the moment!

Had very delicious beef that I'd put in the slow cooker with red wine, stock and veg for dinner last night, had potatoes and veg with it. Easy dinner for tonight as OH at meeting so lasagne from the freezer for me and DS1 and jacket potato and fish fingers for DS2.

Was very tired last night so had dinner, shower and watched tv for a while then fell asleep on the sofa and woke up at 11.15pm and then went to bed. Not much OS going on except from washing drying on the airer in front of the radiator - but found we were getting too hot so have altered the heating.

Must get some baking etc done on my days off this week, the boys have just about eaten all the selection packs, chocs etc they got for Xmas so back to HM Twinks etc. Will try to deep clean the main bathroom this week, I think it's time I threw away all the old bath toys as boys are a bit old for those now! The floor needs a good scrub - that's going to be a hands and knees job with an old fashioned brush and bucket of soapy water - what joy!!! I'm sure it will be worth it when it's finished.

Have to go now and get ready for work.

Keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Diva - Im so sorry to hear about Tris, hes had such a rough time of it! I hadnt realised he was up and about again, which must have been such a relief for all of you - and now this! Big massive hugs for you, Tris and his family. I hope he makes a speedy recovery with no further complications.

N9eav - Hugs for you too hun. Im not sure how you are involved and what you do for a living, but I have so much admiration for all the forces, emergency services and teams who deal with such events on a daily basis. Where would the rest of us be without you all. xxx

N9eav - I'm sure after a while you get hardened to the horrendous things one human will do to another, but as a Father I'm sure you when kids are involved it's still hard to fathom. Hope you have a better day today.

New kitchen is still a novelty and remaining sparkling! won't last long :D Tiles got grouted yesterday so just the painting to do.

Just prepped dinner and shoved it in the slow cooker; we're having chilli and I'll serve it with wraps and some potato wedges.

DS2 just rang me (yes...from his bed - that eyelash must be playing up again :p) to say he's not going to tech as he has a really sore stomach....its probably wind from the HM Veg soup I gave him for his supper last night and all the eggs i've been feeding them the last few days - DD can't bend over without letting rip and quite frankly neither can I :o TMI Sorry :D

Need to get organised for work! Have a good day

Am just off to work, very grey up here on the Lancashire coast.

WM on, clothes drying on the airer, ironed OH's shirts (2 weeks worth!) last night, will tackle rest of ironing tonight. Will finish the last portion of Sunday's lamb hotpot (Delia's recipe & it was absolutely scrummy and very cheap - all came from storecupboard / freezer apart from the broccoli to accompany it!) for my tea, OH will eat on his way home from site. Also need to roast the peppers & courgette in the veg drawer, to be made into lasagne tomorrow.

Need to get the Dyson out to chase the dust bunnies around....have so many gathering it looks like Watership Down under our bed & in the corners of the hall :o Also want to try & sweep the front yard, but no point until the binmen take the Chrimbo tree tomorrow....next-door's cat keep knocking it over when he's chasing the birds!!

Hugs to all who would like one :grouphug:

Morning. Did an 18 hour day yesterday and long day likely today.... Horrible...

Ok then, are you the blonde or the brunette WPC?? :rotfl:
  • You guys are all so sweet. I do feel a lot better today, so all of your hugs obviously had an effect! I might even try and tackle my mud-covered entrance hall. I’m considering locking the front door so OH has to wait for me to let me in, then I can ensure boots are off before he comes through the door…

Diva – returning the favour and sending a hug for you, as well as to Tris.

The Bin Men came last night! It was so exciting. Some of my neighbours were in the street welcoming them. Well, I assume they were welcoming them. I didn’t sit and watch so it’s entirely possible that they bopped them on the head and told them not to leave it so long next time…

I started trying to write the letter to my former teacher yesterday – I think it’s going to be a long slog. Beemuzed, I think you’re right. She had a huge influence on me as she was my first music teacher, and now I’m in an Operatic Society. Music is a big part of my life and I will always be grateful to her for that.

OS today… let me think. Leftover chicken will be curried for dinner. It should have been casseroled but due to an unexpected guest for dinner on Saturday things got shuffled and I ran out of carrots. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish off the mini-scrapbook I’ve been working on, as it’s for my friend’s birthday in a couple of weeks. Need to clean out the bunnies and walk the Puppy-Dog (still lead walks only. Roll on next Tuesday when the stitches come out!)

I had a dream last night that me, OH and Puppy-Dog went to my Dad’s for dinner and when we got there we were told “no dogs”. So we turned around and went home. Bizarre. My dad loves puppy-dog to bits!

    Hi Guys,
Well my brood have left the house for college and school....and breatheeeeee.

I had a really bad night sleep too...(hugs for Bitsy). DS2 up at 11 pm feeding Guinea Pigs  DS1 in from friends at 1am:mad::mad: DS2 up again at 3am investigating as he thought someone had broken into the house :mad::mad:

OS - well catch up on washing now I have my supercharged tumble dryer :j:j
I need to wobble to Waitrose as doing two small shops this week to take advantage of their offer. Otherwise i would like to watch my programmes that I have recorded from xmas. I have such poor concentration that I fall asleep.

I also intend to make some cakes for kids. Im going to buy the Bero recipe book - I remember my grandmother had an old version when I was a kid. Im intending to make apple and pork burgers for tea.

I hope it goes well for Sunnygirl - with MIL funeral - I do hope that I have the right day.
MSD - hope Tris is doing ok. He has nine lives doesn't he?

Hope everyone has a good day x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning All ,

MSD - Sorry to hear of Tris's accident, am thinking of you both.
N9eav - How awful. Do people really have no consciences...? I just cannot understand it.
Bitsy - hugs chick, sleep deprivation is the worst.

Have another day stretching ahead of pretending to be enthusiastic at work  Don't know why all of a sudden it's become such an issue! I've always quite enjoyed working here (not the actual work of course!) but this last week I literally feel like if I don't leave this minute, I'm going to end up torturing myself with sticky tape and a Bic biro just to relieve the boredom.

Have my second dating scan tomorrow. Hopefully everything will be ok. I'm so nervous after the last debacle with the first scan, but trying to keep calm and carry on as I think Molly41 says ;)

My big sister has turned 40 today!! Her hubby bought her a ticket to Australia as she's always wanted to go, so her and one friend are going to Sydney in April to visit their other friend who lives out there! I'd like to make her a sort of survival kit to go out there with, like she did for me when I went out there backpacking 10 years ago. Any thoughts on what I could put in seeing as she's not backpacking, but staying with a friend??

OS wise, we've got shepherds pie tonight for tea (I made a massive one last week so this is the remainder) and I need to meal plan tonight so that DH can do the Tesco shop after the scan tomorrow, as he has a day off in lieu of working Saturday.

Hope everyone has a good day, hugs in abundance xx

Diva - so sorry to hear about Tris' accident - never rains but it pours as they say.
N9eav - that sounds like a really grim job
Had huge row with DH last night, so atmosphere a little tense today! He's right (grrrrh!) I'm doing too much and it's all getting on top of me again. Need to sit down and declutter my life!!! If only I had the energy I had 30 years ago all would be well....
Need to get the house straight again, plan the new kitchen before we visit the planner tonight, do the tuition prep, write a couple of sets of minutes up, think what to feed our friends tomorrow.....
((HUGS)) to all who need one today. Take care.
