    hold on ....possibly some good news what a rollercoaster of a day i am having here...the guy from the garage mustve noticed i was upset (he did get off the phone quite quick when i startd bubbling) and he phoned renault they have just phoned and said they are dreadfully sorry about what has happened including the inconveniance of no car and have offered to pay 75% he says it will still cost me alot but 75% less than before ..now i am feeling elated that this might be the case but absolutley dreading what it will still cost ..will keep you all updated ..

    thanks toto just read your post thank you for that...you always know how to cheer someone up ...just had the guy from the garage on phone now he is saying with our discount it is gonna cost £1500 plus vat but told me to hold on he was gonna speak to the manager so then he phoned back and said cause they have informed renault etc and done what ever (i think get it at renault cost price or something) he will give me it for £820 ...still a hell of alot but not as much as the £4000 plus vat i should be paying ..so now do i have a pernod to celebrate?

    thanks pania and sugaris for your thoughts the car is just three years old and just out of warranty (typical) have found out from hubbys "brother" he says it is a big job basically the car will be stripped down to nithing all lines engine etc cleaned apparently bits of metal are contaminating everything so the full thing needs stripped

    Bloody hell girl, I go off on a mission to save my daughter's eyesight (ok, slight exaggeration there) and come back to find you having a roller coaster afternoon all of your very own!!!

    Hopefully by the time you read this you will know what is happening for def re the car repairs but at least you have managed to get the price down considerably. There are some advantages to being a hormonal tearful woman occasionally ;)

    Keep going, you are doing fab - these things are just being sent along to keep us all on our toes. Don't want life getting too easy now do we!!!

    hi el, thats fantastic news re the car!! still quite a bit of money, but knowing how you girls go with the quidco and ebay and things i'm sure you'll have this crease ironed out and the missed stitch picked back up again in no time. Have as many pernods as you bloomin well like, after a day like that you deserve it!! Lots of hugs. XX

    thanks storm just noticed this ..today has been very productive to be honest i have done plenty mbing so have roughly £100 to add to the car pot was hoping to pay it with my cash back visa so i could have a month to try and mb the money but the garage dont accept american express but other than that it's been a very fruitful day and i feel so much more in control again ...thanks again everyone for your support and advice yesterday it really helped me immensely

    thanks also for the hugs hypno caught up with your thread youve been having a rough time lately aswell hope everything is going good with the cag /daughter and insurance claim ...fingers crossed for you all

    well i had the claims company on the phone this morning for the second car accident at this rate it will be settled before the first one ...hope things are going better today hypno

    ok got an offer in for the accident today quite poor actually but they wont offer anymore it will go to court if i dont accept it i will need to go to see another doctor and i am a bit concerned now incase my other accident gets brought into the mix ...it wont be enough to pay off our debt ...but i have a decision to make
