    Course Jessica

    thing is we cant really run a grocery challenge thread on here, I tried to run one before it got moved to OS. I wonder whether we could start one there? Unless we just do it in our diary threads & sigs?? I think that should be fine :beer:
    :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
    Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
    So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:

    this is going to be exciting ...i'm getting geared up now the hubby is still crying lol saying i'm obsessive and i need to give this site a break (reckon it's cause take away's will need to be cut even more lol) but i just remind him that he is the one who kept going on about getting out of debt and having savings ..then point out how much i've already saved us from paying out ..then remind him of the dreaded s.s.p...jessicamb i have no probs with you joining the more the merrier...that way i can get more good tips on what to attempt to cook....lynz thanks for that advice i'm gonna research them all ..the more help i can get and the easier i can prove to the hubby that things don't need to change that much the better...

    Erm its normally a bit more than that but it varies.

    What about £70? Thats a bottle of wine and about £14 a week food a week.

  • Hi girlies,

    Can I join to please?

    It's my payday on 27th of this month but could start our grocery challenge on 20th but won't do a big shop probably until start of August - however this probably doesn't matter to anyone but me!

    I probably can't state an amount yet as I'm going to Rosemary Conely class on Monday (please don't shout - I know its £5 a week but am seriously overweight and doing it myself just is NOT working - this is coming out of my 'weekly' money NOT my grocery challenge) and don't know yet what meal plans are etc - but will be doing it on the cheap! There's me, OH and 2 very greedy cats on dry food (also need litter). Could say now will try for £120 but might change a wee bit if have to buy expensive things for Rose C diet.

    The mods (:hello: nearlyrich!) aren't too strict on here so we should be able to get away with starting a new thread for this (sorry for hi-jacking your diary elatan!) if we specifically ask them not to move it?

    scottishspendaholic x
    MBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
    Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
    Bank of Scotland = £2,782.83

    your welcome to join as far as i'm concerned..and the the more the merrier...i can do with al the help i can get lol... and i don't have a problem if we keep it to my diary as long as no one else does.... today i'm feeling alot more upbeat...thanks everyone for your support:T :T ..i've had a bit of an eventfull day today ..firstly got a letter from r.b.s saying i hadn't filled some part in so i phoned them and spoke to a guy and he seemed to think i had filled it in so i'm supposed to just
    send it back...this is turning out ot be a big hassel:mad: ..on a d.f.w note however ..i then decided to phone the tax man re: over payment of tax..they are dealing with it was the reply ..should i be excited or not ..anyway phoned my friend and told her and she said oh is that for your petrol claim when you worked for your last company ..and i went "what" she then explained to me that i can claim petrol expenses for when i worked with them ...so off i went and wrote another letter...will keep you all updated with it....and on the challenge note ..phoned a friend and she said that she has a cash and carry card that will get me mince for £2 instead of £3.80 plus ..yippee.:j ..thanks to lynz /jessicamb/loopy loulou and now scottish spendaholic ...i think i am more ready than ever
