Crikey Elantan, you could be the 1st challenger to end up in profit at the end of the month!!!!!

Re the petrol thingy......from memory I think it is 40p a mile you can claim if you received no mileage allowance, or difference between 40p and mileage allowance. Those v nice IR people will advise you (got my rebate last month, and cos I claim regularly they have just increased my tax code to take it into account each month, so around £30 a month better off!!!! what nice IR people they are......)

Try a spicy veg stew with manky bottom of fridge stuff, tinned baked, butter, borlotti, kidney etc beans, tin of toms & chillis. Is v scrummy and can use on jacket pots, serve with pots, rice, pasta, top with breadcrumbs made with stale bread and old cheese and bake. Yum yum. OH thought it was delish, then got confused trying to work out what meat it was......:o
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

oh i forgot how bad a hangover you can get with southern comfort.:p ..last night was a good night (and free for us,blagged the full night):j today we dropped son off at band practice then hubby and i decided to go for a fantasy shop round curry's (as it was only 5 mins from son's friends house) whilst there we saw this lovely phillips l.c.d hd ready t.v with mood lights etc ..all singing all dancing so to speak..for £3580 or something close to that ..hubby was like i fancy that (as i said it was a fantasy shop) but just next to it was a lg l.c.d hd ready t.v for £1700 so in the shop i'm showing hubby the two and comparing and saying if ever we can afford to buy a t.v ..would you like to do a years overtime and go withouot just to buy the one for £3580 or for less than half price would you like to just do 6 months overtime and get that one which has a perfectly good picture /is the same size etc.etc..i swear i think i actually saw his light bulb turn on ..it may have even blew up it was that bright lol...never did i ever imagine ..ever that by going into curry's today this would've happened.:j :j :j ..i think recieving the suite from friends yesterday helped too ....up till now we've been the ones giving the things away to friends in need, buying the meals ,paying for the drink etc..we could afford it ..it was no problem...but that's no longer the case ..before we would've picked the phillips t.v cause it looked better (and it does) but now ...i am a proud debt free wanna be nerd no 129 ..what a great day ..hope yours has been good also oh and here's a free virtual drink for you all as a way of saying thank you:beer:   ...not for me though don't think i can face it yet lol

I wish I could get my OH on board.

He met me on Friday afternoon drunk and depressed - says he feels life is going downhill fast. I pointed out life has been going downhill every day of the last 10 years due to £36,000 of overspending. I think we are now at the bottom of the hill, and the only way is up.

His biggest fear is that something will go wrong with the car and he wont be able to get to work. Now that the credit cards have been cut up, we wouldn't be able to have it repaired at the moment as we currently have no savings.

How do I get OH to see life can only really get better, or is he right? Am I just looking at things through rose coloured glasses?
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Scottish (my new diet budy - we will be luscious babes before you know it - currently just a lush due to duty free gin!!) said the grocery challange was here & thinking of joining in BUT can I have £120 for the first month...thats still at least 30 of normal food. What is counted/not counted (ie things like shampoo...).
