    Hi Elantan - did you get the rules? I'm getting into the idea of this now and how little can I survive on.

    Thanks for your PM the other day too - two whole days of non-smoking now.

  • Hey,

    Are there rules for the shopping challenge?

    I thought it was just you nominate an amount you think will challenge you and your family (mine is £120 for me, OH and 2 cats) and then see how you go over the month?

    I think this is how Lynz and LoobyLou have been doing it - although I may be wrong (probably am!).

    MBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
    Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
    Bank of Scotland = £2,782.83

    Thats what I was thinking too - ah well see how we go. We can always make some rules up as we go along :rotfl:

    I'm going for £70 for just me - hoping I dont spend it all in the first two weeks.

    I am thanks - its not too bad at all and I/m quite surprised. The only time it seems hard is when I forget I've stopped and think oh I'll just have a cigarette.. I guess its early days though but I am pleased.

    How are you? Sounds like you are having a nightmare with your son?

    You are very brave! I am giving £20 to my Oh as he is away for 10 days from next Monday but scared as its our holidays and if we're at home, I'm scared we'll eat!

    Good luck everyone! No going to the shops to stock up tomorrow! I considered it today but knew that would be cheating so I just bought enough for today and tomorrow.

    well unfortuantley i have to go to cash and carry today ..it's the only day friend can take me ..but i will be marking in it to my budget ..cause i wont be eating it till tomorrow..i have also decided after reading ehallerts one debt a month (that girl is soooo inspirational) and after talking to ozzy fan..hey ozzy fan ...that i am going to concentrate on one debt at a time ..i will pay the minimum to everyone obviousy but i'm gonna get rid of them one at a time instead all at once as i was doing ....so this month i am concentrating on the visa bill i'ts not that high...but i want it out ma face so to speak ..and i've read about the psychological boost that comes with it ...so visa debt currently standing at £450 i will have paid you off by november....i will reduce the amount i can spend on you and will only use you incase of emergency...(just thought i'd address my card there..see if it works)
