Definitely agree - people think you are pregnant or plain weird if you don't drink! Such a part of the culture and then Jack McConnell wonders why we are the unhealthiest European nation!

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I made a concise effort when leaving uni to not drink as much just because i hate being hungover! I enjoy a couple of glasses of wine and the odd gin and tonic.

OH's family are BIG sociable drinkers but his mum has now virtually given up and we have diet coke together! it is really really tough but makes it a cheap night out and i'm saving my stomach lining/brain cells!! LOL!

boyfriend actually thought I was really odd living like this, but even he has now realised that he doesn't HAVE to drink when he watches footie.

honestly people don't even notice when i'm on a night out if i'm not drinking, they wrongly assume that there is vodka in my diet coke.

nooooo...helppppppp...pleaseeeeee!! What counts & what doesent? Need to know what I'm letting myself in for! As for DS eltan...children do well with boundaries (supported by lots of lovely research!!) but hard if he's got away with murder for ages!! Possibly needs to learn his lessons the hard way?!! I learned lots this way (debt for one!!) but usually get there in the end!

the thing with son is (i probably should've made myself clear but by that time i was drunk and angry lol) when ever his behaviour has been bad i have always pointed out what he did was bad why i think it was bad the possible consequences of what could happen due to behaviour and then if i'm really feeling mean i ask him what he thinks his punishment should be ...theni dish out punishment and to be truthful he takes it well and very rarely reoffends..i just don't believe in smacking hitting children etc ..but i have to admit when he nearly set fire to our house for the second time and when questioned about it said it's ok your insured i very very nearly did..sorry bit long there..

hi, sorry if this is completely out of line here, but your DS sounds like he attention seeking. He knows he is going to get a reaction from you by doing bad stuff. very difficult to judge as I don't really know you/situation etc but its just a thought....perhaps you and DS could go to family counselling or similar??

    hope tonight is ok....((hugs))
