That's no problem El, real life gets in the way sometimes! I've only just caught up on the last few posts of your diary, I have not been able to catch up over the last few days! Not even got round to doing my own daily "what small thing" thread!!

I CAN MAKE JAM ME (just had to share)

there must be something in the air, I made my first ever jam recently too. Mine wasn't a success - very runny loganberry and very solid gooseberry. There are 5 jars of the gooseberry left and nobody but me will eat them.

I have been thinking of you and your son, it must be so hard, and NOT helpful to have to deal with inlaws as well. I hope he does OK and comes to his senses soon. 16 is really such a young age but what 16 year old realises that?

just got a letter from the lawyer of the first accident through today i have a court date for the 17th november damb i was really hoping they would settle out of court.... dont know if this is a good thing or not
  • Chances are El that they are hoping you will back down, I suspect you will end up with a "courtroom steps" settlement! Go with what your legal Beagle says and best of luck!

i have to admit i dont understand any of this process at all ...when i got the offer in (only had the one) they did say that if i didnt accept it then they are going to court i was under the impression you got three offers before the courts got involved i spose i'm panicking incase there is a picture of me somewhere doing something (which then left me in pain) that had to be done that shows me in a bad light ...i havnt lied i have got a genuine claim i still suffer from pain but i'm panicking for some reason ...is this normal or am i being paranoid again ...and then the worry of what if the case get's thrown out of court i will get nothing i shouldve taken what i was offered even though it was rubbish but atleast i wouldve got something and my dfd goes further back ...can you tell i have been overthinking this lol
  • Have you told your lawyer about this (especially the panic bit!), they should be able to reassure you (that is part of their job - they are on your side remember!)

see that's the bit i think that can get confussing too i am insured by the same company as the guy who hit me so essentially i am suing my own insurance company (not my insurance) now when i took out my insurance i took out the legal cover and i can only assume so did he so i'm thinking what if essentially two lawyers from the same company are both representing me and fighting me that could be a conflict of interest ...i spoke to the lawyer about this she assured me that isnt the case ...but i (and no one i know of ) have ever heard of just recieving one offer ...now i was thinking there must be more than one lawyer's office surely that deals with this insurance company ...but with my second accident i found out that there is only one lawyers office in the full of scotland that deals with them so now i am not too sure ...can you tell i've thought about this a bit
