Can I join pls??? Just got myself a proper scale and really don't like what I'm seeing. I'm 130 pounds at the moment, aiming to go down to 122.

I won't follow any diet but will try to eat sensibly (def cutting out chocs!) and go to the gym 4 times a week (spinning, body pump, aerobics and step classes).
  • Can I join too please? I seem to have got myself to the weight of 12 stone 12 lbs !? I would like to aim for 10 stones. I can't afford to join a gym, so I am going to start using all the fitness DVDs etc that have been gathering dust in the cupboard. I've just signed up for Slimming World online and am determined to stick to it.
    Good luck everyone!

Another bagel. My 600 cals I had left for dinner is now down to about 380, BUT I'm having vegetable stir fry for dinner and I do intend to do weights again tonight, so should come in under anyway.

Hi Kavics - you sound like you're prepared for the challenge! Good luck!

Welcome PMMDF! Good luck with Slimming World and do let us know any tips! (Do you have a shorter nickname we can use?! :D)

Thanks for the link, Tete! I'm always trying to convert to green tea, but I think I just l love my breakfast tea too much. Even on safari... Thanks for checking out the pics :) I can't believe my 'select few' was nearly 80, ha!

I went slightly over my points yesterday as I couldn't resist a Breakaway left over from 2009! BUT, we won't be having any more, so it's okay :o When I'm dieting I only buy OH snacks I don't like, so I don't have to face temptation - sometimes my willpower just isn't up to the challenge!

I'm going to my mum's for her birthday dinner tonight, so I'll have to squeeze in two lots of exercise over the weekend, which is pretty much against all my beliefs, but it will be worth it in the end!

    How's everyone else going?

    That's what I was thinking!

I came in about 100 calories under yesterday, have had two coffees and a banana so far today but put my lunch into FF (wholemeal pasta with this aubergine pesto I'm trying to use up and some mozzarella) and after that only have 300 or so left for the day so will be well over, especially as I made a Victoria sponge last night - will try to keep it below 2000 though - damage limitation!

How are we all doing? If you've been reading my diary you will know I had a curry from the takeaway last night:eek: I put it down as a restaurant chicken curry on my online tracker - so 10 points:eek: - but is was so nice;)

So I was over points yesterday but had some saved points to cover it:p

In true moneysaving style we cooked the rice at home because we had some in the cupboard - which was the boil in a bag Uncle Bens - so even the rice portion was measured for me (and I promise in future to buy the cheaper box of rice than the boil in the bag type;))

    Hey all

Well lots of confessing to do here.... I have been eating some curly wurlies as it has been a hard week. Hmm.... at least they have holes in, as you say Tete, damage limitation.

I have been super saintly for the rest of the week, only had potatoes twice and for the rest of the time had salad. Had dinner out but chose a stir fry with steamed rice so hopefully that wasn't too bad! Cycled to work and lots of walking (bit of a sore and still wibbly backside!)

If I haven't lost anything on my weigh in on the work scales will have to start counting calories.

Brek today grapefruit and orange. I must say though I do feel more energetic, so get on the DVD fitness later! Have a good day all - hi to everyone who joined.

  • Good morning everyone...............today was my weigh in day and I've lost 1 1/2 lbs, not a lot I know, but I'm really pleased as its my TOTM and I'd normally gain about 2/3lbs so I'm chuffed to have lost at all this week!

Its coming off quite slowly for me at the moment, I've lost 51/2 lbs since 2nd Jan, but in the past have found that if it comes off too fast..........it usually goes back on even faster (with me anyway), so here's hoping we've cracked it!!

Everyone is doing really well here :T
