Hi everyone, welcome to all the newbies :hello:
Going for a coffee with a friend so we can discuss revision in half an hour, have done quite a lot of the kitchen so far, then going to study after seeing my friend. And try to fit in a couple of declutter missions too.
Hope everyone has had a good start to the week!

I'm daft I am ... I was on the list - sorry Toots!
Also, in my gigantic bubble of selfishness, I forgot to thank pigpen, toots and soappie for their lovely lists last week which have resulted in the lovely freshness of the house this week.
I'm adding the following extras to my list, but will do them throughout the week:
clean the top of 2 kitchen cupboards (slowly working my way around!!)
clean out one section of bedroom wardrobe each (x4)
put up x 3 shelves in main bathroom
paint over mould patch in ensuite
paint over water leak (long time repaired) mark on lounge ceiling
30 minutes garden tidy
Am loving hearing everyones stories. This thread is doing me so much good. Thanks for spreading the clean x0 -

Waaaaah! Not fair - I've been working all morning, but haven't really started the kitchen yet...
In my last hour-and-a-bit I ...
* Made a stew
* Froze down the remaining lamb stock
* Portioned up some left-over pudding from last night to tuck away in the freezer
* Repacked the DW, having cleaned the filter (mucky finish on the wash last night...:o)
* Cleaned the detergent tray in the WM
* Put tonight's load of washing/deterent in the WM, and set the delay programme
* Cleared all the cooking stuff away
* Folded up and packed the remaining bits for the charity drop, which are now dry
* Found the recipe for tomorrow's meal so I can pick up the ingredients tonight
* Cooked the rolls (loaf is still rising)
* Sorted the fridge out, and put a few items in the 'soup' bag for later ths week
* Hoovered all the beams, walls and window frames in the kitchen; also the floor and inside the oil pipe cupboard
I think I must have lunch now (nice fresh bread smell is too tempting...). Then it's wiping round the units etc. Feels such hard work today - hope I'm not catching DH's cold...

Tidy, clear and wipe the top of the washing machines and dryer It's under a work surface, so I can't get to it (was actually cleaned when Mr LW fixed a problem with it a few days ago). Microwave lives on top of said work surface.

Plus
Invaded DDs' room, vacuumed, installed hanging brackets for 3 guitars, vaccumed again.
Put up 2nd kitchen wall cupboard scavenged from nice Polish builder replacing kitchen in downstairs flat.
3 loads of washing, TD and redistributing (but still not DD1 who is going to be short of clothes if she doesn't do hers tonight).
Emptied bookcase, pulled out from alcove to check electrical socket behind, found bright green fuzz sprouting from wall (which is new, most mould in the flat is black or brown), shuddered, secured socket plate as it was slightly loose, replaced bookcase and half of the books, the rest to go to charity shop.
Chased up appointment by locating referral document template on PCT's website, phoning cancer registry (what a totally rubbish name as you don't necessarily have to have cancer to be referred through them) to find that I have an appointment tomorrow morning at 9am.
Found random neighbour who will keep an eye out for DD2 to make sure she leaves for school on time tomorrow (as I will have to leave a good 45 minutes before she can get into the school premises).
Had annoying college tutor for DD1 phoning and demanding that I come and see her tomorrow afternoon to discuss why DD1 doesn't participate in her registration tutorials. Two possible reasons - one, judging by her phone manner, the woman is irritating, patronising, rude and irrelevant - or two - because she is more interested in actually doing the A Level work set by the real tutors? All she needs to do is tick the box twice a week to say DD1 is present, after all - an occasional registration session isn't exactly an A Level subject.
When I tried getting out of it, she wanted to know what my hospital appointment was for - I don't want to see my personal stuff put on the college database for all and sundry to see
And fed ungrateful birdies again - charming, as soon as the snow goes, they're nowhere to be seen!
Time to declutter more tea and bake some bread, I think.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Note to self P2
sorry flaked last night - felt rottenlike I was coming down with something so took myself off to bed at 9pm:rotfl:Have got extra PPA as I got none last week (still have some owing:cool:) so just switching PC on to do some work (honest gov)
Mudbath, Karena and her family going through the most difficult week are in my thoughts and I am hoping for as peaceful a journey through this for them as possible.
Thanks to Pigpen, Toots and Soappie for their sterling work in keeping the thread going...Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
