jojo The tutor is way out of line asking you personal questions. I hope it goes well tomorrow.

MrsChaos Your note abut asthma meds has reminded me to take mine. I have an alarm on my phone for all the others but I haven't set up asthma meds on there. Will do now.

Actually.. there is an obligation to be present at registration tutorials.. it is a requirement of all higher education establishments. It is so the colleges/universities can claim the required finances to support each student.. if students miss 15% of registration sessions they don't get funding.. and the students cannot get EMA/grants. This time is also used to offer help and support with other aspects of learning, passing on vital information e.g. closure dates, additional activities.. at uni this time is used for help with essay writing, cv writing etc.

And if it is only twice a week it isn't such a huge issue for DD I'm sure, she just needs to be made aware this is a requirement that she signed agreeing to when she signed the enrollment papers, if it is good enough for everyone else it is good enough for her!.

I had a similar discussion with DD1 a week or so ago!

Thanks, I think DD1 knows this already, but the tutor's point wasn't that DD1 is absent (because she isn't) but because she doesn't like taking part in the activities - like 'think of something that makes you feel really, really bad...now tell the whole group about it and they'll decide what you can do to make it all go away'. After 90 seconds of being spoken at by the woman, I didn't want to share with her, either! :D

Never mind, I shall drag myself onto public transport as soon as my hospital thingy ends, travel for about an hour for a ten minute patronising session and then try and get back to pick DD2 up from school on time. The only previous comment of note from the tutor was that there is no such thing as a reason for being late, as it is impossible for a bus to be late if you are waiting for it two hours before you are due to be at your destination. She obviously has never had to wait for a bus in our area then, as DD1 already does this and still ends up late.

Never mind, back to the kneading - so absorbing an activity!

    Good afternoon
I havent been around much the last few days, the white stuff has gone so we can get out and about a bit more YAY and I've been reading a fab book so that has kept me busy in the evenings.

My friend went into labour this morning so I am looking after her 2 year old at the mo and collecting her 6 year old from school later and keeping them for the duration. Thankfully my DH is working from home again so that he can take our wee one to get our 2 from school, as friend's wee boy goes to different school. Anyway I am not going to bother with flying too much until they are gone home - who knows when that will be LOL - as the house will be full of noise and chaos as soon as school kicks out. So I am enjoying the peace just now as the 2 wee ones are both asleep (well friend's is, mine is trampolining in the travel cot by the sound of it ) and what better way to enjoy peace than catch up on the thread :)

    Hi

I have also WM x 2, hoovered the LR, dusted the LR, cleaned the french doors in the LR, cleaned the coffee table, sorted shoes in the hall, cleaned up dog sick - yuck - TD x 2, decluttered in LR [hoping I can cross off some jobs for LR day when it comes around.]

Feeling demotivated today - I want to move to a house where its all nicely decorated [can't afford to do it here], lots of storage [no space here] and there is a sererate wing for the kids and dog who are dirty and smelly!!!!!! DH can stay in my wing if he's good and if not I want a seperate wing for him too [he's nice really] I just keep looking at the rooms and thinking how dingy it all looks and how we have no money to do anything - I'm sick to death of it all so I don't care what DH thinks I'm looking for a full time job even if he shouts and screams I don't care, SAHM's are fine [and I love doing it] but we can't afford it so its reality check time for him tonight - wish me luck

    Helen x

ETA And to top it all I've just opened a drawer in the kitchen to check passport dates [thanks Jill and Pigpen] and the blerdy drawer has just collapsed beyond repair - fed up beyond words now.
