Have been onto school today and spoken to head about my unhappiness with regards to the poor follow up my daughter has recieved with regards to her special needs on transfer from junior school. (she was on action plus and had a TA every morning for the past 2 years and since transfer she has had NO support!!!!!) She has a diagnosis of High Functioning Autism. She is now a bag of nerves, tearful and wants to leave school. I have made it VERY clear that she will NOT be returning until all appropriate provision is in place!!!!!:mad::mad::mad: I'm now waiting for a phone call from head of learning diffs to make an appointment!!!!!!! I am one very unhappy mummy, infact I could cry out of frustration.
Anyway, have now got to set up sewing machine for her to make a pokemon hoodie this is something she does when she is in this state - focus on something entirely different and create.
    Thanks for listening.

Hi All I'm new, was made redundant last week, so instead of sitting getting depressed on the sofa, thought I would join in and see how I do.

hellsbells45 ((hugs)) I hope school sort it out soon, my OH is a special needs teacher and its so important for parents to stand up and make a fuss, he often said that he wished more would as it supported what he was telling his line managers too. I hope she is coping ok :)

    Have a great day

hellsbells, do the school get additional funding for her support? Usually this wouldn't happen unless she had a statement, some schools don't put in additional support without a statement, wrong as they should be providing needs based support but sometimes budgets don't stretch that way or they don't know how to budget effectively. What did they state they would provide at the pre transfer meeting? Is this in writing? Might be worth considering contacting your local parent partnership office, IPSEA too. Hope DD is ok.
One day I might be more organised...........

Get stuff out of the horrible damp cellar...got some shoes out today to put on Ebay and they have fur on them! After only 6 weeks! So everything has to come out, and get either repacked somewhere else in the house, or binned!
I feel your pain. We have a wall of built in cupboards here and everythgn that goes in them goes mouldy - had to throw away all my shoes the other week apart from a few pairs which I was able to rescue. It's gutting.
Lady-L - smooch.gif Thank you for answering my texts, I was getting worried about you. Hope you are feeling better today.
Ditto - thanks for your text and I hope you are a bit better today xx

Everyone needs to make it very clear they have finished the lists and want stars – it’s no good moaning a week later they haven’t got their stars – you have to write in big clear writing that you need a star like Lala has done

OK not been on here for about a month. Went a bit mad whizzing around just before Christmas, but put alot of clutter in cupboards that now need sorting lol.
I let things slide a bit after crimbo (being pregnant hasn't helped lol) so need to get back on the wagon before I get really big and start struggling again. I am about 5 months now so at least the morning sickness is settling, and not that huge yet-although already having hip and back ache-it is my 4th lol.
Aiming for level 1 or 2, but 3 if I can manage it. Need to do a bit then rest and start again so will see how I get on, but hoping the lists will help me to focus more.

Thanks Hollyh for the HHC - its my first - and am pleased with results.:j
    What I achieved:

    Dry dishes & put away
Empty TD and put laundry away
    Strip & change DD2's bed
load & start WM & TD
Sorted DD2's outgrown clothes from wardrobe

DD1 will be pleased as she moans she can't find any clean clothes - I have a laundry monster that you would not believe.

DD2 will also be happy as her bed is now sporting her new bedset from Chrimbo.

Lemmie - count me in for 11.15 - might tackle DD2's wardrobe
