quick hello from me jus to put my food diry up. im struggling today.

BF: 2 SW sausages (1.5), beans, bacon, fried egg in frylight, 1 nimble (heb)
    L: Pasta n Sauce
    D: Baked Pot & Beans
Snack: Tea & Apple & snacka jacks (4??)

Am feeling hungry now, gonna have my other slice of nimble toasted and a muller. its a bit late. but i wont sleep if i dont eat being this hungry and will end up eating chocolate. which i want so desperately!!! i know if i have a bit ill not stop though.

Morning Carla, I know it a bit late now but if im ever really wanting chocolate I mainly go for a kit kat and nibble all the chocolate off slowly. If I know I wouldnt stop at one, the I make up an options Belgium hot chocolate. They are really chocolaty and hit the spot nicely and only 2 1/2 syns per sachet. Dunking a kit kat or penguin in it would be lovely and you feel suitably sick of choc after that lol.
my down fall is more cake than chocolate, I love sponge cake :D

Maybe it would help if you added more veg to your meals. For instance, I would have added mushrooms and grilled tomatoes to the breakfast. A load of peas and sweetcorn mixed into a pasta n sauce helps it to fill you more and a big side salad with the jacket and beans at dinner would mean it took longer to eat and I'm sure would be more satisfying.

You should have 2 slices of Nimble to make up your HEB and of course, there's the HEA which you've not mentioned. Also, don't be afraid to have your full quota of syns - it won't mean you'll lose less and, in fact, can often mean that you'll lose more :D
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Skint_Catt, I can't believe you turn your nose up at apple sauce and yet will eat animal heart, liver and lungs stuffed back into its stomach and boiled _pale_

Lol, I only eat it when I don't know what's in it ;) I don't eat offal as a rule so I don't think of haggis that way - it's just mince - honest!
  • Good Morning,
Thankyou for your support yesterday, I really appreciate it.
Haven't figured out my eating for today yet, but is it ok if I join in posting my daily diet for a wee while until I get into the swing of it? Was thinking about the whole thing yesterday, and realise that my "downfalls" have been home-made bread and cheese - eating way way too much, so have made a plan to treat myself at the weekends if I want, using syns.

i couldnt agree more withyou consultant. i do need to add more veg to all my meals. breakfast its hard as i dnt like mushrooms or tomatoes, but i def do need to add more to lunch n dinner. i think its my downfall.
i had a quick dinner last night before i did shoppin in tesco - options were baked pot with cheese/beans or chips or burgers or biscuits. i did well going for the potato! they had no side salads left either as i usually have a baked potato with salad! I had my 2nd slice of nimble with ham on before i went to bed just after i typed the post last night. and had about 1/2 of my hea using milk formy tea throughout the day!
i will make today a better day.

  • HELP! i feel realy deflated this morning - i have been sticking to the EE plan (this the end of my second week) haven't cheated and have averaged about 7 syns a day until last night, when i drank half a bot wine (16 syns). my weigh in day is sun, but decided to weigh myself this morning, as i felt slimmer and the scales said i had put 1 x lb ON, it is my time of the month next week - do you think it is that, or do you think it is the wine, i have had no crisps, chocolate or cider (my downfall) since i started.
i didn't eat anything extra last night while i was having the wine, so pleased about that, but just feel disheartened.
    slimming world start: 17.1.10 @ 200 lb's
    lost up to now - 7 lb's
first target: 180 (this is waht i stuck to most of my life!)
    second target: 160 ( I haven't been this for over 10 years)
    third target: 138(my personal target)
final target: 120 (this is what i was when i got married)
  • Well it's a beautiful if not cold day here today, so will definitely be going for a jog later.

I am having a change today and having a red day:
B - 2 poached eggs (think I will turn into one), bacon and 1 slice of wholemeal bread (HEB) with 1 tbsp of tommy K (1 syn)
L - I'm stuck on this one, I suppose I could have salad with mini baby bel light (HEA)
D - will be steak with a quark pepporcorn sauce, mange tout and a jkt spud (HEB)
S - milk for tea (HEA), fruit salad and maybe use some syns on ryvita fruit crunch and quark mixed with a tiny wee bit of lemon curd (it's my cheats cheesecake)

Think I will make some no added sugar jelly up as well because I like snacking on that when all else fails.

    Have a good day everyone!:)

Karen if you have only been having 7 syns per day then the half bottle of wine is fine. Try and drink loads of water and have loads of fruit today. It may be you are dehydrated because of the wine and retaining water. My weight can go up and down by 2-3lbs in a day, I get all depressed, then check the next morning and its dropped by 3 lbs again. I try and leave stepping on the scales until actual weigh in day, its the only reading that is real.
Dont be disheartened, youve done really well the last couple of weeks, hopefully you should have a decent loss tomorrow.
